Dare (by TorchTorque): I dare you to bake with Professor Pinkie Pie
This dare is so genuinely harmless, I'm wondering why did you even think on it...Did you by chance ask this when I had to watch...THAT gorey video that shall not be named? ...Well, I still haven't quite mastered this 'laptop' thing, so I'll just have to check on that later. I'm not complaining over getting a simple dare, but as someone who gives hard dares most of the time, you guys make me feel like a jerk.
But before I give you guys the wrong idea on giving me hard dares, let me get to Professor Pinkie real quick. *he quickly flew off, making his way to Sugarcube Corner*
*Once Gallus enters Sugarcube Corner and lets Mrs. Cake know why he's there, he goes to the kitchen, where he finds Pinkie Pie*
Pinkie Pie: GALLUS!! :DD
Hey! Got everything ready, Professor?
Pinkie Pie: Oh, of course! I'm so happy you got that dare to bake with me! *she gives Gallus a hug using one of her 'arms' with an adorable smile* Your readers seem like the sweetest!
*he smiles sheepishly as he's hugged, but then he scowls* I wouldn't go that far. If anything, my readers are just WEIRD.
Pinkie Pie: EVEN BETTER!! :DD *she started to hop a bit, and also started to ramble* I have been aching to give all of you a special Laughter class on baking! *she looks unamused for a few seconds* But Twilight would say that it didn't fit into the curriculum of the Laughter class and that it would stray off too far from the plans and BLAH BLAH BLAH!
*he snickers, enjoying the gossip Pinkie was telling*
Pinkie Pie: *she kept talking, and with the more excited she got, the bigger her movements got* But after Yona came to us to make her Lucky Pot for the Amity Ball, I have been aching EVEN MORE to have just one baking class! I tried to help her make cupcakes for the Pot, but then the flour made her sneeze, and the flour got EVERYWHERE in Applejack's kitchen!! Then we just agreed that she should make apple sauce!
*laughs a bit* Yeah, I heard she went to you, but I didn't know about THOSE details! Hah! *smirks* Don't worry, I'm not THAT clueless. I actually know a bit about baking. My old friend Gabby taught me how to bake griffon scones once. I didn't pick up on EVERYTHING, but I know some basics.
Pinkie Pie: Really?! *she got close to Gallus out of excitement* Awww, I met Gabby before! She's such an adorable sweetheart! *her smile faltered a bit* I just hope she didn't have Grampa Gruff's recipe...the one that doesn't have the baking powder.
Eugh, you tried THOSE scones? The ones that Gilda makes?
Pinkie Pie: I did! D: They broke one of my teeth!! *she casually shows Gallus one of her missing teeth*
Guess we can kind of relate on Grampa Gruff breaking something in us. *he scowls again* Grampa Gruff broke my spirits for eleven years.
Pinkie Pie: *she gives a bit of a sad smile* ...You remind me so much of my family sometimes.
...In a good way or in a bad way?
Pinkie Pie: *completely ignoring what he said* OKAY! *she brings all of the ingredients for the cupcakes closer to them* Let's get the cupcake baking STARTEEEED~~! So Gallus! Besides griffon scones, have you baked anything else? Like pies, or cakes, or muffins, or cookies?
Uh, not really. I've only tried baking a pie, and even then Gabby did most of the work. They're WAY harder to do than griffon scones.
Pinkie Pie: *giggles* Well, that's great! It means I have more to teach! *she gives a cute smile...and then starts doing what she's saying in incredible speed* First you need a cup of flour and then you add the baking powder sugar milk vanilla eggs water and a liiiiiiitle bit of salt!
*he raises an eyebrow, looking confused by how fast Pinkie Pie was explaining, and he tried to add the cup of flour to the bowl, but he interrupts what Pinkie was saying as he was about to sneeze* AAAA-AAAA-AAAAAAHHH--!! *he quickly flew out of the kitchen table's way and sneezed very loudly by the corner of the room* Ugh...Now I get why Yona sneezed flour everywhere.
Pinkie Pie: *she gets on his back and puts a clothes pin on his beak* Good thing I came prepared this time! *she gives a playful wink to Gallus*
...Well, guess I'm gonna have to breathe through my mouth now. *sighs a bit, his voice sounding more nasally than how it usually sounds due to the top part of his beak being pinched up* Professor, you lost me at flour. Can you explain the cupcake making again? As SLOW as you possibly can?
Pinkie Pie: Oh, of course! *she starts to explain how to make the cupcakes again....but she was practically doing it in slow motion*
*he had the cup of flour ready, or at least somewhat ready, but he quickly looked annoyed at how slow Pinkie was talking* Professor, you don't have to explain THAT slow!
Pinkie Pie: You told me to explain as slow as I possibly can!
I just meant to explain slow by YOUR standards! *facepalms* But you're right, I worded that wrong. Can you just explain it like how you explain in class?
Pinkie Pie: *gigglesnort* Sorry, I'm just so excited! Okay, third time's the terrific charm! First off, you need to add more flour than that.
*Time skips to 30 minutes later, where the cupcakes are already finished! ...And they look pretty sloppy*
Aww man, I figured they'd look better than this! *he seemed annoyed by himself*
Pinkie Pie: Aww, it's okay Gallus! You don't know HOW many times I've baked cupcakes with others and they've looked SUPER burnt or were just the worst baked bads EVER! *she took one of the cupcakes they made, and happily ate it* Mmmm~! At least these taste good! A bit too soft, but still good!
You think the class will like them?
Pinkie Pie: Of course!! And besides, it's my Laughter Class! And what matters is that all of the effort we put into these cupcakes will make your friends have the brightest smiles!
*smiles a bit* Well, I doubt that, but we can only hope.
((That feeling when you have to write for your favorite character, but you think you didn't do too good with her ;u; Sorry if Pinkie is out of character, I'm not used to doing as her. Hope you ennjoy this simple and less sassy chapter for once--))
