Chapter Eight

Josh had been wondering around School for a while, looking for Audrey. He needed someone to be there for him. To help him get his mind off everything. Possibly a date? He wasn't sure where to take her, as he had no money and had no idea what to do for one. Or maybe he could do something romantic, like a picnic or something. He had heard it was romantic.

"Josh!" Audrey calls and snaps Josh put of his daze, he looks over at the lockers and see's her smiling at him widely. Josh couldn't help but smile back. He couldn't of stopped himself doing it even if he wanted too.

"Hey, what's up?" He asked as he walks up to her, her arms sliding through his arms and around his waist, planting a kiss on his cheek. "You're awfully public about us" Josh observes and Audrey shrugs her shoulders.

"Why shouldn't I be?" She asked.

"I'm from out of town, remember" He says and Audrey rolls her eyes but smiles as well.

"I don't care where you come from, Josh. I care about you. And you care about me. That's what matters.", She says as she muzzles into his chest. Josh smiles warmly as his arms wrap around her shoulders.

"Hey, Josh" Mals voice calls. Josh felt Audrey stiffen in his arms as she backs away and looks at her, the smile gone and replaced with a displeased look. "Can I borrow your boy toy for a second, Audrey?" She said with a grin. Audrey's face transforms into a look of anger as she steps forward, her eyes like daggers.

"Say that again, see what happens." She threatens. Mal knew she was serious. And it kinda made her see what Josh saw in her. She had a fire in her soul. Ironic.

"Oh, not so perfect now are we" Mal says, not backing down. Her eyes blaze a bright green and Audrey steps back in fear. Looking slightly embarrassed she turns to Josh and grabs his hand softly.

"Come find me when you're done" She says softly before walking off. Josh turns with a knife in his hand and presses it against Mal's neck as he pins her to the locker. All Mal did was grin.

"Is this how you treat all the girls, Josh. I gotta say, I love it" She says.

"I told you. Stay away from me Mal. Unless you want you little secret to come out" Josh grins and Mals face warps into anger as she grabs Josh's wrist and flips him over her with impressive strength. She already had Josh's knife in her hand, her knee on his chest and the knife now against his throat.

"You do look sexy in this position to be honest Josh" She grins as she passes him the knife, drawing her face close to his. "Audrey might be who you think you belong with. But you belong with us. You'll see when they turn against us, Audrey will hate you" Mal says as she gets up and brushes herself off before walking off. Josh watches as he gets himself back up.

"Hey, Josh. Are you okay? You look abit rough" Ben says as he walks over brushing Josh's jacket off. But Josh grabs his hand tight, hearing his bones start to crack as Josh turns to dace him. His eyes burning.

"Don't. Touch. Me." Josh says slowly. Ben nods as he pulls his hand away and brushes himself down.

"You know, I'd be careful of Audrey. She might seem to be in love with you but all she cares about is power" Ben says.

Josh loses it.

He pulls around and lands a swift punch across Ben's face, sending him into the lockers. And Josh takes no time to walk over. Ben wipes the blood from his mouth and then advances on Josh, landing a impressive punch across Josh"s face.

"This helping? Taking out all that anger you have?" Ben asks. Then Josh realises what the King was doing. He wanted Josh to lash out. He wanted Josh to lose his cool and let out his anger.
