God will give you more wisdom, be faithful to Him.

King Solomon is the Son of King David, he is the successor of his Father (Read the First Book of Kings Chapter 1), where he made King of Israel and Judah. He reigns and has achievements, one of this is the building of temple in Jerusalem. Solomon followed God's instruction to him, he also loved the Lord. Without God, Solomon wouldn't succeed as a King.

The Lord blessed Solomon with wisdom and understanding more than anyone has ever had before or will ever have again (Read First Book of Kings Chapter 3). Solomon was wiser than the wise men of the East or the wise men of Egypt. He even composed three thousand proverbs and more than a thousand songs. Kings all over the world was amazed by his wisdom. Solomon even prayed to God, pleading that God will forgive people in Israel for they have sinned and rebelled against God but there comes a time where Solomon turns away from God ( Read First Book of Kings Chapter 11). Solomon married seven hundred princesses and three hundred concubines, and they made him turn away from God, they led him to worship other Gods.

His unfaithfulness made God angry, he sinned against the Lord , Solomon did not anymore obey the Lord instead he turn himself away from him. King Solomon breaks his covenant with God and God promised that he will take away the Kingdom from him. When Solomon rejected Jesus, he promise to punish the descendants of David but not forever. For forty years he become the King but he forget all about God's showered blessings upon him.

Just like us, Solomon fall short in the Glory of God, instead of worshiping God alone, he worship other God's, he rejected the Lord, and death is his punishment. Everybody of us can be likened to King Solomon in many ways,no matter how faithful we are, we commit sin from the way we talk, the way we treat others, the way how others makes us feel. When we are busy to the things and affairs of this world we are left captive, we don't bring glory and honor to God anymore, we are blinded by his truth. Don't wait for the time that the world has fully blinded you, or a person, an experience draw you away from following Jesus. King Solomon is blessed enough with wisdom but in the end he break his covenant, even if we washed our sins with soaps we are still filthy rags. Repent always to God for the sins you have committed, say sorry to him, ask forgiveness, ask for his wisdom. Idolatry and disobedience to GOD only brings disaster. Be faithful to him whatever hindrances you encounter to glorify his name.

Prayer:

Lord God, I may not have Solomon's wisdom but everyday supply me with your wisdom. Led me into your way, let my thoughts be controlled by you. Amen.
