Blue's POV:
Most of the afternoon went by surprisingly quietly apart from a few altercations here and there. It took me a few minutes to work out my name was Blue, or at least that's what they called me.
The beautiful girl with raven coloured hair came over a couple of times to the stir-fry I looked after. She kept adding salt and ignoring my curious gaze. There was no way I would say anything as to not get anyone in trouble, especially someone who was ready to defend me earlier.
One of the other maids I didn't recognise, accidentally dropped a plate of food on the floor before making her way over to one of the dinning tables. We all stood near the tables of food watching as the others devoured rice, chickens and veggies like it was their job until the sound of glass demanded their attention.
The guard in charge of her grabbed a hilt sticking out of his uniform. It was attached to a sharp silver blade, that reflected the white lights from the tall ceilings above the cafeteria. He made his way over to her making my eyes widen, but before I could react he yanked her by her long wavy hair, and cut it off in one fast swoop. I saw as her beautiful brown hair float downwards like large feathers, surrounding her as she slumped to the floor sobbing silently. I refused to notice the similarities of our hair, and how mine had the same jagged edges and length as her own now had.
The sadness I felt radiating from her as she looked my way, was enough to almost make me cry. I did my best to hide my emotions, burring them deep under boulders and rubble, never to see the light of day. The last thing I needed was for the enemy to figure out my strange gift and using it against me. It would be all too easy to torture me through the other girls. Feeling their pain, their agony and fear did something to me that I wasn't quite ready to think about.
"Did I miss much?" I sucked in a harsh breath not expecting the familiar voice to make itself known, after hours of enjoyable silence.
"I honestly started to believe I had imagined you." I sighed mentally knowing Frost could still hear me."Nope, sorry still here." She replied. For some strange reason I could feel her shrug as she spoke even though I couldn't see her yet.
As if sensing my thoughts she said; "We will grow more in tune with one another from here on. The more we are together, the stronger we will become. From what I can't tell these guards must be suppressing the others wolves so we will need to try hard not to be spotted. For now I have suppressed our scent so they won't smell us."
"Wolves? Scent?" Before I could utter another word, I feel my eyes roll back ann my body hit the ground. A cold feeling spread throughout my mind that would have made me shiver if I had control of my body.
The very air I breathed felt like what I imagined breathing in the snow would feel like. Cool puffs of smoke leaving my mouth and nose as it collided with the warm air it came in contact with.My vision turned dark, only to be replaced by another. Clear sky's, and the smell of wild flowers mixed with sweat filled my nose. A tall man with black hair and bright blue eyes looked down over me. He extended a hand for me to take.
"Did you have to hit so hard Dad?" I grunted causing the mans eyebrows to crease and jaw muscles to twitch.
"Jaycee, I hardly nocked you over. I used the same strength a human would use." His words confused me yet felt honest. There was a flicker of worry that crossed his eyes as he looked me over for any injuries. "Remember the stronger you are in human form, the stronger your wolf form will become."
"I want to play with Shadow now, I've had enough training for today." The young girl replied. It was strange I couldn't see her, but somehow knew it was me watching through her eyes. This must have been a memory of my father.
