Viren's POV:
"So let me get this straight. I say leaning forward on the table facing my mother. Coal sat to my right. "Coal's mother had come to this world from another world a long time ago. How did you make the connection with Coal?"
"Well, she had drawn me pictures of Coal. It's a little hard to forget his silver hair and bright green yellow eyes. She was quite the artist. She told me her husband was from a different village and had shape shifting talents. I never imagined I'd get the chance to meet you, though I think you mother foresaw this encounter. It must have been why she stopped by to see me."
"Different village?" I ask trying to make sense of everything. "If she was an oracle, was she a witch like us? I ask.
Coal began to laugh. It was a deep kind of laughter that grew louder with each second, as if what I said, that amusing.
"Viren hunny, not quite." Mums smile grew larger. "They are dragons.""Come again.."
"You heard her correctly." Coal says crossing his arms with a smirk on his face. "Unlike this world, our world is mostly run by Lycan's, your ancestors, and Dragons. Unlike Lycans, Dragons can fit into different categories. For example I am a shapeshifter, fire-breather. Not all dragons can breath fire. My mother had magic and was from a village that was connected more with nature. Mum was special though as she somehow also inherited her ability to foresee the future. She was one of a kind.
"Wait.. When I imagine dragons, i expect to see.. well.. large scaley reptiles with massive wings. You are more like a puny lizard or massive frog."
Coal gives me a deadly glare. "That's just because it's easier to go unnoticed transforming into that, than my dragon form. Trust me Viren, one day soon I'll show you, and it will be the same day I kick your ass.""Now now boys, we're all on the same team here." My mother says standing to her feet. "If the goddesses are working together enough to allow Coal to portal into our wold, we need to do everything in our power to help him. Viren I mean it, you can trust Coal, and Coal, Viren is a loyal and fierce ally. You can trust him.
"Fierce no doubt, I've seen his beast in action up close and personal. Loyal.. I'll have to take your word for it." He says with a wink towards my mother.
"Okay here goes nothing." I say taking a deep breath. I spend the next hour filling Mum and Coal in on the events that have been happening in Jeffs pack. I don't leave anything out apart for my weird attraction to Jaycee. The last thing I needed was to say that out loud. Mum would never drop it if I did. I told them about the councils plans and what was happening tomorrow. Once everything was out in the open, mum worked on a few potions to help me get through tomorrow. I just hoped they would work.
Jaycees POV:
It's been two long days since Viren wiped my memories and disappeared. The first day I was filled with rage at the thought of what he did. On the second day, I was filled with rage because Viren consumed my every waking thought. Now it's late at night, and even my dreams are plagued by his face; his eyes and his lips. I keep getting flashes that are not making sense. The most frustrating thing, is even Frost won't stop talking about him. She keeps saying there is something huge we are missing. As if I didn't feel enough pressure wanting to figure out a way to get Layla and the other girls out of this prison, now I have to worry about Viren too.
"Earth to Jaycee." Layla waved her hand in front of my face. "You have been staring unblinking at that leaky pipe for an hour now. Try and get some sleep. Jeff did say we have a huge day ahead of us."
"Yeah I know, I just can't stop obsessing over what I am missing. He better be in tomorrow, I swear if I don't give him a peace of my mind, I'm going to explode." I say ignoring Layla's widening grin.
As I fell asleep I dreamt of a man. He was fit and covered in red and black leather. His hood always hid his face in shadows, but there was something familiar about him. Comforting almost. It took me a moment but I soon remebered seeing this man in one of my memories. He came a few days before my capture, to worn us. When he finally opened his mouth his words sounded distant, distorted. I could just make out his words. "I'm sorry it's taken me so long. I'm coming for you Jaycee. Hang in there."
