Jaycee's POV:
Once again I find myself suspended in darkness. A man was cursing above me, and a female's voice I also recognised, was the only thing able to calm him. I groan as the feeling of my heavy cold muscles scream out in agony. I open my eyes to see the bright green eyes of my friend Leila and Stuart to her right looking sweaty and stressed.
"See Stuart, I told you she would be okay." She breathed out in relief. Although the words sounded reassuring, it was evident by the emotions floating through her eyes that she hadn't believed a word she spoke.
"If you were so convinced Layla, then why are your hands still shaking?" Stuart says dabbing a cloth on the sweat running down his forehead.
"You weren't the one holding onto her icy skin, they are only shivering from the cold." She gave him a deadpan look, not giving him a chance to reply. She knelt down placing her warm hands on my face, checking my temperature. It was only then I diverted my gaze to the ground and noticed someone was missing.
"Jessy." Her name left my lips. My shoulders deflating upon the realisation that she was no longer here. There would only be one reason for that, she didn't make it. The realisation was like a punch to the gut. The woodshed from my lungs as tears appeared in my eyes. She was no longer here. Looking up into Stuarts eyes have me all the confirmation I needed. Sympathy and pity swirled in his depths. Sadness joining the mix as they reflected back at me.
"I'm sorry." Stuart says kneeling down to my level casting Layla a glance. "If it makes any difference, I didn't rip her into pieces and throw her in the dumpster like they make us do. No one was around, and Layla begged me so to walk her body into the forest and place her under a tree. Unfortunately I didn't have time to bury her but I figured it would be better than what is usually done."I mustered up a small smile. It was more than anyone has been able to do. "Thank you Stuart." I say genuinely. He had been changing so much lately. Rather than the monster I once knew him to be, his emotions have been changing and growing in intensity. Where anger and hatred once fueled him, now dread, guilt, grief, sympathy and sadness seem to appear. He wanted better for us and for himself. If there was ever a moment to ask, it was now.
"Stuart.. if ever a time or opportunity came for us to escape, would you let us?"Layla gasped in shock and Stuart's eyes bulged out of his head. Fear was the main emotion.
"Jaycee they would kill us all. Even if I didn't help you, I am responsible for you. No one has ever managed such a task, its best you never speak of it again. These are the cards we have been dealt." My shoulders sagged in defeat. Just speaking the works was enough to be punished and the fact that Stuart wasn't out there ratting us out meant one thing. He thinks we wouldn't succeed. Doesnt want to risk getting caught only to be executed. Maybe the risk was too high but I was sure when the right time came he would join us.The sound of a woman's heels clicking against the cold stone floor could be heard. As the person approached the solid doors Stuart stiffened before swiftly closing the cell door and stepping back. "Okay ladies time for bed." He said firmly as the woman opened the door leading to the prisons many hallways.
"Oh there you are." Rachel approached Stuart with a large smile. Her bleach blonde hair swayed with her hips as she moved towards her mate. Light pink lipstick left prints along Stuart's neck and her matching nails drew patterns along his shirt covered chest. Stuart stiffened at first, however before doubt filled his mind, the mate bond lulled him into a fake sense of security, desire being the only thing filling his every breath and thought.
Layla and I tried not to cringe at her desperate moans and touch. Breathlessly she spoke to him in between kisses and the hickies she was leaving against his neck.
"I was beginning to think you forgot about me and left this place."
"You told me to stay away." He replied just as breathlessly. "You blamed me for all the pain you went through, while those girls were.. using my body against my will." Stuart's words triggered something in Rachel as she pushed him hard against the wall. She gripped his shoulders jumping up to straddle him. Her tight skirt rose up, flashing us more than we wished to see.
"Does she ever wear any underwear?" Layla's wolf spoke into our minds making me jump. It had been so long since we mindlinked.
We turned our backs on them, the second Stuart fingers dropped to his zip, eager to release his cock.
With our wolfs sensitive ears, it was impossible not to hear the sounds of slapping wet skin as he thrusts into her, accompanied by their unrestrained moans. Even if our hands were pressed against our ears, there was nothing that could have prevented it.
Bile rose in my throat the second Rachel demanded we turn around. Layla and I stiffened waiting a few seconds for Stuart to object. It was clear his wolf had taken over, based on the animalistic growls coming from behind us.
"Now or you will be punished!" She screamed, desperate for an audience.
Begrudgingly we faced eachother before turning their way. I gasped seeing her breasts were now out of her shirt. Stuart had her bent over facing us, his beast's claws dug deeply into the flesh on her hips, causing droplets of blood to run down her outer thighs. He rammed into her over and over again. His eyes were black with list and only focused on his mate. With nothing to grip onto, Rachels arms flailed along with her bouncing breasts.
On instinct my eyelids slid shut, not wanting to look into Rachel's eyes. I was disgusted at their public display, and the last thing I wanted to feel was aroused. I wondered if Stuart would regret this later, seeing how his wolf had take full control.
"How long was I asleep for?" My words flitted through and invisible cord tethered to Layla and her wolf. I needed something to distract me.
