Jaycees POV:After thirty minutes Layla and I were clean of Cassy's blood. She talked me into wearing one of her sexy crop tops that hardly covered my main areas leaving a thin transparent material showcasing the valley between my breasts. The shirt shorts were surprisingly comfortable but also had that same transparent material on the outer sides on my legs leading up to my hips, exposing my lack of underwear.
I wasn't happy about that part but knew Layla wouldn't budge. Cleavage and small curves was all Layla could see, however, all I could see were the raised scars and imperfections that hid beneath, slightly covered by the black sheer fabric.
"Oh come on Jaycee, just this once! You never let me dress you!"
I groan. "How did I let you talk me into this?"
"Well if your illusion magic fails and we loose the fight against our mates we will have to go on a date or give up your secrets depending on what they prefer. This is just our back up plan to use the bond against them should we need it."
"A date doesn't sound so bad." I reply.
"No, but if we win we get the answers we seek. You can demand Viren's true identity and I can make Coal reveal his beast. It's killing me not knowing what he is and my wolf is driving me crazy about it." Layla says passionately. There was a fire in her eyes showing me just how determined she was to win.
I sigh knowing how badly I wanted to know Viren's true identity. It isn't to reject him, rather the secrets between us have been nagging at me. The bond was only making my frustration and curiosity intensify by the second, eager to draw us closer. Frost and I need to know more about our mate.
"Fine but my illusion will work against Coal, and Viren has no idea what I am capable of. I'll be able to see what hits hurt him most and analyse his every move by feeling his emotions. It will be like reading a book one page ahead of time knowing what's about to happen." I say smiling as Layla finishes tying up my hair into a high wavy pony tail. "I still don't get why you curled my hair into soft waves only to tie it up."
"Trust me if we are loosing, pull that thing out and remove the baggy dress you have on. Utilise his shock and the bond. His beast won't allow him to lay a hand on you.. well, not in that way. We will drive them crazy!" Layla laughs, eagerness clear in her eyes.
After Layla's pep talk we caught up with Sadie and Cassy who were by the waters edge. Sadie had used the water to wash Cassy blood away.
I look towards Cassy not needing my ability to read the frustration written all over her face at Sadie's disappearing act.
"Oh come on! Surly you're out of magic by now?" Cassy groans falling to the floor in a heap.Sadie grins triumphantly. "Magic no, I haven't turned eighteen so have no access to it yet, endurance On the other hand, I have enough to win against you." She puffs out sitting on a rock.
"Hey where did Coal go?" Layla asks, her attention no longer on our friends bickering.
"Yeah about that.." Cassy says biting her lip, one of her sharp fangs on display. I watch her eyes flash red attaching onto Laylas neck for half a second, before she shakes the hunger from her eyes allowing annoyance to take the lead.
"They're gone." Her eyes cast down but not before I felt her guilt at her sudden hunger.
Layla gasps "What do you mean gone?"
"One minute they were walking under the waterfall.." Sadie says.
"You mean swimming?" Layla tries to correct.
