Viren's POV:

I pressed against the familiar pressure point to render her unconscious. It was much faster than tying a blindfold over her eyes and besides, I quite enjoyed holding her in my arms. I frowned at my thoughts shaking my head to clear my mind and focus on the task at hand.

By the time I dropped her off it was night time. I frowned realising she had missed dinner but couldn't do anything about it now. After placing her on the makeshift bed I nod towards the girl they call Black, expertly hiding my amusement behind a mask of indifference.
As I closed the cell I noticed Jeff's figure in the door way. He had just asked the guard to take a walk for ten minutes to accompany me back to his office.
"I see she is all healed." Jeff muses glancing through the open door way. I use that opportunity to close the door.

"Yes I healed her, rendered her unconscious, and brought her back as promised. Remember your promise Jeff. If anyone hurts her again it will be you I take it out on next. I might just scar up the other arm to match this one." I say glancing at the slowly faded burn wounds as he reaches to open his door.
"No need for threats now Viren I thought we were passed that." Jeff says displeased at my tone, turning his head and attaentio a round us to ensure no guards were listening.

"I'll check back in with you tomorrow for an update. Id also like a tour of the outer pack grounds of your feeling generous."

Jeffs face reddens and his eyes flash black with the eyes of his wolf. Clearly I struck a nerve. Interesting.  "Make no mistake Viren, this is still my pack. You may have power within these walls and with these hybrids, however outside is none of your concern." Jeff speaks with authority and confidence. One he hadn't had a few minutes ago.
"Hmm are you sure about that Jeff?" I say with a forced smirk on my face. If I play my cards right, Jeff will be like putty in my hands. "Margo told me something along the lines of using your pack, sorry 'our assets' when the time comes. All of them."

Margo always referred to the hybrids that survived the trials as our assets and I know he would ensure full control over them with the illusion of leaving others in control. Those who agreed to behave and become a model pack member were sent to a secret locations of Margo's choosing. It was only recently I suspected Jeff's pack lands was one of the packs he would send them to. I also believe the others are at the location locked away on the other half of that folder. I had recognised a few faces on my many drives here over the last few weeks. Alive being one of them.
"Margo told me that no one knew about this location and to keep it top secret." Jeff's words were strained with anger. He wanted to be a real Alpha and the witch council seemed to be the only reason he wasn't one. That must be taking quite a tole on his ego. "That was our little secret, why would he involve you in all this now?" Jeff demands agitatedly.

I smirk. "Oh sorry Jeff did I say Margo told me? I meant to say I suspected, and you just confirmed my suspicions." I say with a shrug of my shoulders. "I must say Jeff, you have dug yourself quite a deep hole there. The last person who betrayed Margo's trust was.. we'll 'was' is the key word."

I watch as horror takes over his face. "You.. Viren you can't tell Margo. I promise to do whatever you want just don't tell him it would be my-" he gulps unable to finish his sentence.
My expression turns from smug to one of pity. "Your head. Yes I can see why you look so horrified Jeff. You should have seen what Margo did the our most recent council member the other day." I mused. "I really am sorry to have put you in this position without thinking of the repercussions that await you."
Jeffs pulse is erratic and his blood pumps through his veins in a frenzy. The sound and rapid pulsing on his neck only reminds me how thirsty I am. A thirst I cannot easily satisfy. Not if I wish to be here all week. I swallow my straying thoughts. "Jeff lucky for you I see you as an asset, as a respectable business partner. I will keep this second big secret for you."
