Jaycee's POV:

"Luna.." a young girl around the age of twelve catches my attention in one of the closest stands. "You didn't mention anything about it not being to the death?" She states timidly.

I give her a fond smile. "My apologies little one I have yet to explain how this arena works."

Turning to the pack, I announce loudly. "Everyone viewing from the sidelines is automatically protected from harm. Anyone fighting is also protected from deadly attacks. My mother, aunt Alessia, Renalda and Magista, two of the witches we helped rescue from Margo and Jeff, have also aided us with casting protection enchantments and barriers around the arena. As most of you know, we unlike many other packs, do not favour fighting to the death. There is no need for spilled blood. If you are dealt a deadly blow during training or a duel, say you are thrown into one of the deadly waterfalls, the arena will catch you and protect you, and make you flash a bright colour to inform everyone you are unable to continue fighting, or have lost the match. In saying that, if someone is capable of withstanding the attack, you will be harmed as usually by the elements, however will be able to continue fighting unless you chose to surrender. The Arena has a way of understanding what you need, trust it."

Everyone nodded understanding the similarity between my mothers magic in the past and the other indoor training facility my mother created. Even that one protected warriors from deadly blows so this was something many were already familiar with.

Applause broke out as my mate smiled at me me lovingly. "Coal, Ember, River and Jason, make your way onto the arena." My mates deep voice booms from beside me. It held such authority I felt the goosebumps slide along my spine. Viren smirked despite looking at the crowd. He knew the effect he had on me. My wolf and his beast were insatiable. We couldn't get enough of eachother.

Coal gave Layla a lasting kiss, one that took her breath away. Alice did the same for Jason, and Ember and River received supporting words from their families before sharing a high five. As the four warriors stood in a line facing us, I began to speak.

"There was something I forgot to mention." I say catching everyone's attention including Viren's. I smirk. "You are permitted one item. It may be something to aid with offensive or defensive strategies, something to aid you with your challenge." I announce watching the four of them look around the empty arena with a frown.

Before they could question it out loud, the sand beneath their feet began to move. Granules of the golden sand rolled onto eachother until it formed four solid platforms that stood before them. On top of it, were the items the contestants had mentally pictured and decided upon.

Their wide eyes and whispers of approval as they stepped forward approaching the items made warmth swell in my heart. It was clear everyone was surprised and happy with this new arena and its flexibility.

Ember had picked up what looked to be a leather glove, it's straps all connected in the centre of her palm where a beautiful red stone commanded everyone's attention. She placed it on her right hand, the sound of the leather stretching and groaning at being used for the first time, was all that could be heard.

"My wand." I heard Magista say from where she stood in the crowd. River smiled. "I noticed how bad ass you were with the help of this wand during the attack. It multiplied all of your attacks and I have wanted one ever since." She admits with a smile. Viren's mother laughs having grown fond of the young witch. "If you win this fight, maybe I'll make you one of your own."

Rivers eyes bulge out of her head. "You.. made this?" Magista nods as River steps back with a new found determination on her face. The wand gripped firmly in her right hand.
