Viren's POV:

Coals beast hardly had a chance to stretch his wings, when we heard the girls talking at the tunnel entrance of the lagoon.

A part of me knew this plan could backfire, however I was curious to see if the girls could see past Coals shapeshifting ability.

I had been told time and time again by my mother, that no one can fool a mate bond. Not one where both parties are open to it, and wanting it to grow. This was not only a test to see if Jaycee and Layla could pick us out, but to confirm if they too were wanting the bond to grow, which we both suspected however both girls were to stubborn and playing hard to get.

Coal took my shirt and jacket, choosing a spot just withing the forest boarder, while I hid in the water directly beneath the large cliff. The plants that grew off the rock wall at the back of the lagoon, made perfect shelter to hide in, while still being within listening distance. The water would work to hide my scent, and the crashing waterfall would easily conceal any noise I made treading water.

I witnessed Jaycee's incredible water display and from the moment I saw her with her wavy hair and baggy dress that reached her knees, I wanted to embrace her. She looked to have a new confidence about her replacing the unsure doubtful girl I grew to know, and I found it incredibly sexy.

When Jaycee spoke about owing me something, I knew where her mind had went but refused to believe she was serious. "If she was, wouldn't she have kissed us by now?" My beast asks.

"Maybe she was overwhelmed with finding out we were Viren. Makes sense for her not to throw herself at us." I reply choosing to focus on our mate.

"Yes. One time you visited me in my dreams, you asked me if I've ever kissed anyone before. I vividly remember explaining to you that no one had been worthy of it yet, no one had saved me yet. We'll now that the shock of everything has calmed.." My eyes widened.

"Your stupid plan better not be the reason we miss out on our first kiss with our mate!" My beast roared in my mind, frustrated and angry that he allowed us to go ahead with it. We skilfully swam, easily clearing the lagoon in seconds. We exit the water as my mate leans up towards Coal.

I walk hurriedly, accidentally brushing past Layla making her gasp. I waste no time spinning Jaycee around, her light blue hair becoming airborne, as I press my body flush against hers.

Addictive sparks dance everywhere our skin touch, making me want to tear away every barrier between us. I wanted her, all of her and I wasn't sure how long until my control would snap.

Jaycee's hypnotics light blue eyes shinned brighter than the sunlight reflecting off the lagoon. My breath caught at her unmistakable beauty, but what happened next was unexpected.

The sweet scent of my mates arousal filled my nostrils even though there was no breeze to aid it. It filled the clearing with ease telling me she wasn't wearing as many barriers as usual.

My beast held in a satisfied rumble as a dark blush painted her cheeks.

"Mine." We growled out before closing the gap between us. At the last second my mate turned her face. Rather than our lips landing on her cheek we decided to continue downwards, taking advantage of her unexpected submissive action. As our lips landed on the delicate flesh of her neck, we sucked lightly, making her bite back a moan. The sound was quiet but loud enough for me to have heard it.

"She wants us too. She could have pushed us away rather than turn her head." My beast purrs in my mind, my cock hardening impossibly so, at the sight of the small bruise slowly forming on our mates neck.
