Jaycee's POV:Rachel and Stuart's wolves let out painful howls, sending dreadful shivers down Our spines. She rushed out from out underground cell, tears streaming from her eyes.
We stood silently waiting for Stuart to make the first move. He stood wiping a few tears that streamed down his cheeks. After a few deep breaths, he turned to us with a sad smile on his face. "Both." He said making Layla and I frown. "When I asked if you thought it would taste like snail slime or toe nail clippings? It tasted like both. A laugh bubbled out of my throat as Layla gagged in disgust not expecting it.
"I finally feel like a weight has lifted from my chest." Stuart said opening the cell doors. "I'll stand guard."
Layla frowned as we stepped into the cell. I smile. "I may have stollen more than I planed to." I admit fishing the roughly folded pages from my bra. Her eyebrows rose in surprise before she she took one off me. "Stones." She says beginning to read it.
"Great I wanted to read this one first anyway." I say turning my attention to the page about Illusion magic.
What it is used for: Illusion magic can be used to deceive others from seeing something you don't want them to see. It can be as simple as making a book look like a rock, or as complex as making a mansion look like a rusty shed. The larger the item you wish to hide, the more difficult the spell is to master, and the larger the side effects.
Side effects: Witches who bite off more than they can chew, may find themselves blind for a day or even a week. Those with great magic within them, may only find their magic reserves depleted for a few hours or a day. Be warned, the spells don't always work for everyone, though coming across a witch with an immunity to it, is rare.
How to master it: There are witches who have no ability in this area. Those witches will need to rely on the spell and potion below, however will only be able to conceal things no larger than a bedroom. Witches who can control this magic however, will be able to see its flaws.
How to know if you possess this magic: You will be able to see other illusions. At first it will only look like an imperfect shimmer around an object, or you will simply know there is more that what meets the eye. You will feel it. Once you actively keep an eye out for it, and discover your power it will be hard to miss. You will also be able to use it, simply by repeating the spell below while you are learning, and eventually only by thinking of the image you desire everyone else to see.
"Revelare mysteria tua." It means reveal your secrets.
"That's incredible." I say catching Laylas attention. The words reminded me of soemthing I had forgotten about. "I think.. I may have the ability to use and see illusion magic.""What makes you say that?" Layla asks lowering her page about stones.
"I once saw Viren fiddling with something in his hand. He claimed it was a golf ball but I knew it wasn't. I answered a few questions in order for him to allow me to hold it. When I was analysing it, a weird movement around it caught my attention. It looked like a shimmering field of energy danced around it. Expanding then contracting in beautiful rays of colours. It was so beautiful." I say remembering the odd item.
"Did you get to touch it?" Layla asked. I smirked.
"Yes and he also told me about it. He said witches have something similar to what the humans call the internet, but with magic. It's called a globus. It uses illusion magic to hide from others who aren't the owner. Especially others who are not of witch or wizard heritage. It transforms and opens up when being used by its owner. That's the beauty of it, even if a human or wolf stumbled across it, it won't obey them, and only a truly powerful witch or wizard would be able to use someone else's. After he told me that I placed it in my hand concentrating on it."
