Viren's POV:

I hadn't managed to fall back to sleep with all the heavy feelings weighing me down. Instead we decided to pack up camp early and load the car. Ensuring to wear Salvatore's outfit with my black out glasses before leaving in case I was spotted. Ten minutes later Coal was snoring in the passenger seat. I decided to call Alexa and let her know what houses we were evacuating so they knew to start on others in the town over. I also advised her to be ready tomorrow night for an attack which had her and Zander received and excited it was happening so soon.

We made our way to a few of the families on the outskirts of the town most of them resides in. It was surprising that they were already packed and expecting us.
"My daughter told me about a last minute possible evacuation, and I knew all of the effected families in town, so brought it upon myself to ensure everyone's essentials were packed and ready to go, just in case." An older lady named Rose, told me as she loaded her car.
"To my understanding Alpha Jeff and Margo ensured no communication devices were accessible in the pack. Amy, may I ask how your daughter told you?"

Rose smiled, my daughter and I are dream walkers. We can enter anyone's mind as long as they are asleep and she has either met them or seen their face." She says proudly. She visits me most nights, it is the only thing that has kept me going over the years. We sometimes pass messages onto the other families and hybrids. It's why I know them all and have even made friends with most of them. We are all suffering in the same way, so I guess it's something that has connected us in a way.

I smile impressed by everyone's resilience and desire to help one another, no matter if they were a wolf or a witch. The vampire families were the only ones we wouldn't be able to get to for obvious reasons. I wasn't sure if they were kept at an underground location under Margo's control, or if they still resided in their covens to avoid unnecessary attention and questions. My guess was the later. The last thing Margo would want it attention and questions, besides the kids are all hybrids so as long as he had one parent monitored and in his control he still held the power over both child and the other mate.

"I thought there would be guards monitoring everyone?" I say eyeing the deserted little town.

"They have guards visit once every three days, and cameras scattered around town to keep an eye on us. I don't think they use them often though, as we have all been on our best behaviour for two years. It would be a waste of resources. The next round of guards won't arrive until tomorrow lunchtime.

Jaycee's POV:

Layla and Sadie bounce back from our unexpected run in, a relived look on their faces. We clearly made it out just in time. I could hear Renalda using the old fashioned lion head to knock on her bewitched door from around the corner.

We don't wait around to chat, but make our way back to the kitchen, Stuart standing guard at its entrance.

"Did you get what you needed?" Layla asks. I nod in confirmations.

"May I ask what it is that was worth the risk of us all getting caught, and why you were with that guard?" Sadie says sending a mistrusting look Stuart's way.

I quietly whisper to Sadie, the two of us kneeling behind the kitchen counter with a sponge in our hands. We scrub the floor, in case someone wonders why we are out of sight.

I informed Sadie of Stuarts situation. His bond, and the promise to help us escape. I went on to tell her about my dream and finding the dessert. It seemed to be enough for her emotions to turn from cautious and intrigued, to hopeful and trusting. Especially when I told her I remebered her, and that I might be able to help her gain her memories back.
