Zanders POV:

"Ember watch out!" I turned to the right to notice another young girl similar age to the red head. This girl however wasn't tanned and didn't have red hair like her friend, rather, her skin was pale and her eyes a striking shade of blue. Her black hair contrasting against her ghostly appearance, highlighting several thin blue and silver braids that weaved between the onyx strands. The panic in her expression drew my attention back to the red head Ember.

Three guards surrounded her but kept their distance from the orbiting balls of flame. I took a second to look around noticing most of our warriors were fighting two guards each.

Clap clap...

Alpha Jeff approached with two guards and two council members flaking him. I recognised one of them to be Margo. I was unable to pull my gaze away as he was one of the council members responsible for killing Alexa's mother all those years ago. There was no way I would waste this opportunity.

Just as Shadow began to take control, Ella's voice filled my mind. "Stop! I'm with Alessia, she said you can't do this now it won't end well." My claws regressed at her words. Alessia must have seen this version of the future, and I trusted her with my life.

"How about you all surrender so we can avoid further blood shed?"

I scoff not being able to help myself. Looking around at the handful of dead bodies I notice all of them were guards. Most of the hybrids still huddled in a large group apart for the three males that fought to save their mates from being raped, and the red head Ember. As if Alpha Jeff could read the amusement on my face, which he probably could since I hadn't bothered to hide it, he growled angrily.
"Well Alpha, as you can see we have no problem holding our own. Your guards however, seem to stray from orders when they think no one is looking. You may want to look into that before one of them is bold enough to challenge you." I say with a smirk. My words hit a nerve as I intended them to. I can see it in the way his teeth clench and his eyes darken with rage. If it wasn't for Margo placing a controlling hand on his shoulder, he may have shifted on the spot.

"Now now gentlemen, surly we can come to an agreement. You have come here and made your point. Moving forward we will leave your pack alone, now leave everyone you have tried to rescue, while you have the chance to leave here alive." Margo says taking a step forward towards me.

"You can't be serious!" I growl angrily. "You kidnap our children and pack members and have forced others to remain here by threatening their families just because they are hybrids. Now you want us to leave and ignore the abuse of power you have displayed? We won't be going anywhere without every hybrid who willingly wants to leave here today."

"Then I guess we have a problem." Margo says motioning someone forward. A man I hadn't seen before kneels on his right knee, his right fist making contact with the rich earth below. His body begins to stretch and reform, but to my surprise there is no wolf, in its place is another exact copy on himself. I watch stunned as he repeats the movements making two warriors turn to four, then four turn to eight. It continued until 32 clones of the same warrior stood before us. If we weren't outnumbered before, we are now.

I caught sight of Ellas wide eyes but to my surprise there wasn't fear in them, only shock and determination. Before I could make a move, we were interrupted.

Salvator's POV:

My beast and I were enraged. How could we let Jaycee slip through our fingers like that? Where was she? Was she okay? Did Jeff hide her somewhere? Thousands of questions ran through my mind making my heart race and stomach sink with all the possibilities.
"Found them!" Coal states as we approach a opening. Blood coated the ground outside of a large group of hybrids. Most looked to be scared and in shock. Many were not going to be much use to us once the fight begins again. I scan the area hoping to see a glimpse of Jaycee, but am disappointed in her lack of presence.
