Jaycee's POV:

"Hey Jaycee are you alright?" The sound of Layla's voice drew my attention away from Viren. My fingers slowly release their grip from around my throat at the change in emotions. Confusion and worry felt better than the unbelievable thirst I felt seconds ago.
"Yeah I feel fine, sorry to worry you." I reply.
The lashings had finished and once their restraints were removed, I watched the three guards stumble and limp towards the doors leading back inside. No doubt their blistered feet and stinging wounds would effect them until the wolfsbane wears off.

"Cassy told me she was going to allow Stuart ten minutes to clean his wounds, before leading him upstairs into one of the bed warmers rooms. Care to join me?" My eyebrows raised completely forgetting and dreading that part of the day.
"Are there really girls who want to use their one day off to pleasure one of the guards?" I ask in disbelieve.
"Pleasure one of the guards no.. get back at Rachel for all she has done to you and the other girls... yes." Layla shrugs like it was no big deal. "Come on, I'd enjoy your company." She says pulling me up the stairs.
I watched Sturt struggle. Every step was agony just to watch. I was familiar with the pain of open wounds, blisters and the feeling of flesh tearing and reopening. It gave me no satisfaction what so ever, to see Stuart go through it.
Once inside I watched him strip off his torn shirt that was soaked through with blood, and look in the mirror at the damage.
"Here let me help you." Stuart's surprised eyes flicker my way as I reach for a damp cloth.
"Jaycee what are you doing?" Layla whisper yelled at me. I shrugged.
"Trust me no one deserves to go through this pain, not even someone as guilty as Stuart. I won't let them turn me into a monster Layla. I refuse to loose who I am. I reached forward dabbing the wounds gently, cleaning them of dirt. I bandaged them up tight, impressed with how fast his wolf was stopping the bleeding even with a would from silver. "Don't worry they will heal when with time since you weren't given wolfsbane, but the chains being silver, means they will scar.
"Thank you." Stuart's words were whispered with such emotion, it surprised even me. "I have done so much wrong to you. I have pushed you into the dirt with wounds worse than these, and refused to let you clean them. I watched you suffer through infections, fevers, and deprive you of food to delay your healing, and yet you treat me with kindness." The genuine pain, remorse and guilt in his eyes did things to me I couldn't explain.
I placed a hand on Stuart's shoulder and gave it a slight squeeze. "Stuart, everything you do is your choice. If you don't like who you have become... change it. Keep an open mind and look at your mate and what she does, from another perspective. I see how she looks at you, and the excitement in her eyes when others give her the attention she craves. You haven't marked her yet there is still a way out.:" He frowns but says nothing.

I jump as the door swings open, the handle embedding itself into the plaster with the force. The sudden intrusion had me retracting my hand from Stuart's shoulder but not before Viren saw. He squinted his eyes at the exact place it had been resting. After a deep calming breath Viren spoke. His voice and expressions calm and steady, though one look in his eyes showed me the truth. Rage hotter than any I had felt before, raged like a tidal wave beneath his calm exterior. It was threatening to crash at any second. I had never met someone who's expressions were so heavily controlled and guarded, or anyone who had felt so strongly before apart from me.
"Blue you are needed elsewhere, please come with me." Viren spoke exiting the room in a hurry expecting me to follow. I glanced once at Layna before rushing out the door to catch up. I run down the staircase and then through the hallway leading towards Jeffs office. I stop abruptly unable to see Viren or figure out which direction he went.
Frost growls out a warning in my mind, however before I could move, or process her words a sharp pain stabs through my neck. Black spots paint my vision as I'm thrown into oblivion.

Viren's POV:
After meeting up with Alice and Jason I drove home desperate to see mum and hear about how her day went. She had been planing on seeing the ex vampire King, or my 'father' as she calls him, to get her phone back. Something in the pit of my stomach had me worried.
Will seeing her again trigger his lost memories? I had heard it is a possible side effect of removing someone's memory. If the other person is strong, they can sometimes be triggered. It is why Jeff and Margo worked so hard to ensure no one from the same pack was in the same prison section.
I felt a weight lift off my shoulders when I noticed mums car parked in the driveway. With a flick of my wrist I drove my car into the garage roller door that had allowed us through without having to open. As the hole in the roller door disappeared before my eyes, I locked my car ensuring it's protection spell was still in place before making my way quietly inside.
Something in my gut was telling me to stay quiet. I knew where every creek sounded in the house so it was easy hide behind walls and watch my step.
