Viren's POV:

Margo stiffens realising his error. "Enough games!" He yells taking a threatening step forward. My beast and I growl out in warning. Unable to swallow it down. Margo turns my way clicking his fingers. A shimmering dome surrounds me as he smirks.

I swallow down my second growl as my fingers touch the shimmering dome. Electricity shoots painfully through my fingers making their way towards my shoulders. I flinch back at the strong current growing angrier by the second.

"Sorry Viren, it seems your beast is too unpredictable now that you have been marked."

I clench my fists in frustration and hide my smile at the fact he would be draining his magic reserve just to keep me trapped.

"He won't be able to keep this up too long without depleting his magic reserve." My beast says, sounding amused.

"I hope you're right, we shouldn't underestimate him though."

My beast snorts. "It is he that underestimates us."

Jaycee hides her annoyance and concern behind a fake smile.
"Get ready." She says drawing Margo's attention back onto her. Her expressions turns to that of confidence.

Margo screams out in pain as his legs give out from under him. His head hits the ground and the sight of him weak and helpless sent enjoyable shivers down my spine. No one can possibly understand satisfaction I feel, after the many years I have spent imagining this day.

Even my best daydream couldn't fathom the sight happening before me. He was now begging Jaycee to stop. Tears unwillingly falling from his brown eyes as his teeth clench to the point of cracking. The only big difference from all my daydreams, is it wasn't me causing him pain, it was my mate who was much more deserving of this moment.

"How.. magic attacks.. don't work on me." Margo breaths out with much difficulty, as Jaycee's attack slows.

Margo sighs in relief, his head unmoving from its place on the ground for a few seconds longer.
Jaycee clicks her tongue in disappointment. "That was only the pain of two woman Margo."

Jeff's glances around at his guards, fear evident in his eyes as he contemplates his chances of surviving against Jaycee if she was so easily able to bring Margo to his knees, or face in this instance.

Good.. he was smart enough to know when things are going to shit, and judging by the uncertainty on Renalda and most of the guards faces, they all knew it too.

Margo wouldn't let this go. He would need to gain back his control and power, it may even mean more to him than possessing Jaycee's healing magic.

"It's not magic I'm using." Jaycee shrugs. It's more of a gift. Something instinctual." She explains looking at her nails showing how unfazed she is by Margo's threatening stance as he raises angrily to his feet.

If I thought he was angry before, nothing could compare to how enraged he was now. His heart was racing, flesh sweating and I could smell the high potency of adrenaline pulsing through his veins.

"You know, it really is a shame you aren't willing to part with your.. gift." He spits out in disdain. "It's a good thing I'm not really your uncle." Margo sighs dramatically expecting the news to shock Jaycee.

Annoyance shows on his face as he realises how uneffected by the news she was. He turned to Mail. "Kill her."

Mali's eyes widen. "What?" She sputters out, fear and uncertainty filling her voice.

"We need this barrier up, our safety and your freedom depends on it, and we can't sacrifice the woman and babies without first killing Jaycee." He explains, glaring angrily at being forced to explain himself.
