Viren's POV:
Coal spoke of his hometown during the long drive to Jaycee's pack. Snippets of information about his world, coming together like photographs in an album, telling a story of his life. His bright yellow green eyes catch the light, the moisture in them only adding to their shine. I tune back into his words as my eyes turn back into the road ahead. We would soon be reaching the bridge leading onto the island.
"Colours are vibrant, scents similar, yet unlike anything in this world. Magic exists on a massive level where I come from, compared to this world. Here the humans seem to occupy half the population, while the wolves, witches and vampires share the other half. Our word has fewer humans, more wolves, and a small oit of witches and vampires. The last two Lycans currently rule, thanks to the deadly war that will be responsible for the extinction of both our kind. Myself and a small group of dragons from various villages, are all that is left of our species. We fled from the world we knew, right before it started, as a selected few of us, knew how it would end. My mother being one of them." Coal says gazing our the window."I'd like to say that I can't imagine what that kind of knowledge and isolation would feel like, however even though there are plenty of vampires and witches in my wold, I don't have the luxury of mingling with them. I also do not fit in here being a hybrid.l, and would be hunted down if they ever found out." Coal nods in understanding as he turns away from the view out the window, and looks toward me.
"It's understandable to some degree, but imagine a world where you couldn't use your globus thing, there is no communication with other magical beings, no assistance, and not many humans left to hunt for your beast to feed. The choice is completely taken from everyone in our world apart from the wolves that seem to be flourishing."
"How are there Lycans in your wold, but none here?" I ask the one question that's been on my mind. How could werewolf's exist in both worlds without the Lycans.
"That's a answer that I too can only guess at. I believe the original lycan's in your world must have mixed bred with humans, eventually leading to the genes being watered down creating strong Alphas. In my world it is against the laws for any creature to mix breed. Most of the time it leads to death for mother and child anyway, however the first time it didn't, led to this war. A dragon princess, was mates by the goddess to a Lycan. Their families eliminated eachother and everyone who joined into the war picking sides. All that remains is two Lycan's, and no dragons. It is unknown how hybrids are able to survive in this world. It it why I was so shocked and it refused by you when I saw you. Your vampire side was strong, however looking at your belt full of potions I knew there was more to you than meets the eye." Coal says smiling.A few minutes pass before I pull over and change into Salvator's red and black leather clothing. Taking a drink of the small bike of human blood I place the empty bile back onto my belt. I park within the forest edge putting a closing spell on it, before Coal and I walk the rest of the way towards the bridge. Six very large and bulky warriors stand inches apart from eachother blocking the only easy way onto the island.
"State your business here." The largest of the six warriors grunt, in a deep voice.
"We are here to see Luna Alexa. Before you ask, no she isn't expecting us, and yes it is urgent." The man looks towards one of the other men with an eye brow raised. He looks to have been mind linking based on the far away look in the mans eyes.
"The Luna would like to know who you are and what it is in regards to?""Tell the Luna it is about her daughter, so who I am doesn't really matter."
The man pauses a moment before a smirk crossed his face. "Luna says.. it is about time, Mr Salvator. Come, I will lead the way."
We walk through dense forests for five minutes at a snail like pace, before realising we still had a long way to go. I remebered the way from my visit two years ago. Sending Coal a smirk he recognised all to well, I took off, out of the startled warriors sight. He must have thought one of us was either a human or witch. My beast preened at the sudden rush, and at me allowing him temporary control without our lives being in danger. It was the first time ever, that I had let the beast run free for the fun of it, and he surprisingly thanked me by passing back control without a fuss.
