Layla's POV:

As the fight began, I felt Sadie stiffen beside me. Her eyes were wide as she fought to take in everything around her. "It seems so real."

Sadie's whisper was so quiet I almost missed it. A gasp escapes me as I take in Sadie's words. She can probably sense her cousins magic and can tell something isn't right.

"She's using illusion magic, isn't she Sadie?" I whisper only loud enough for Sadie to hear me.
The Luna leans in.

"I can feel it too" she says sending me a wink. "But still, I have a bad feeling about something." I forget sometimes her senses are sharper than an average wolf, being a descendent of the moon goddess.

"My visions are going crazy." Sadie gasps as aunt Alessia appears with uncle Crim beside her. They look stressed. I recognised the expression on aunt Alessia's face, she was having vision after vision and no doubt allowing her mate an open mindlink to see what she is seeing.

"When the time comes we need to transport everyone to the pack house entrance." I hear her say to Crim. Crim nods once, a determined look in his eyes.

"Leave Jaycee, Layla, Coal and Salvator to me mum. I have enough juice for one big move." Sadie says beside me making me frown. What ever was about to happen must be bad.

Tuning back into the fight I see Jaycee on the ground pinned beneath Chris. The sight bringing vile up my throat. "It's not real." Jade my wolf says reassuring me, however I could hear the strain in her voice. She too was fighting against our instincts to want to protect our future Alpha.

"Let me refresh your memory. It was raining. My friends held your ankles wide apart and my claws seemed to free you of the one barrier right before I- "

I froze, Sadie and Jaycee never told me what happened that day, I only heard whispers of the roomer Chris, Chase and Mase sent but since they were always changing slightly I believed they were lies, or exacerbated truths. All I was told, was that they got away in the end. Did Chris rape Jay? Fury like no other injected itself into my veins but before I could move Sadie's hand slams into my chest keeping me rooted in place, the same movement Salvatore ran forward.

A magical pulse lit up the sky, It's rainbow colours brighter than the rising sun as it shimmered in warning. It was a reminder that I would have been powerless to help Jaycee even if I wanted to. She was stuck in there with that monster.

The Luna's force field pushed him back. It would not allow anyone to interfere in a duel unless the rules were broken by an opponent.

Salvator roared enraged, the ground trembled from the force before he appeared to have grown bulkier. I watched shocked as his magic blasted its way through the force field like it was nothing.

The blast of purple replacing the rainbow colours once shimmering in the sky. There has been no one more powerful than the Luna, so how could this be happening?

The magic was enough to draw Jaycees attention to Salvator, the illusion melting away like a mirage, revealing Jaycees true position two meters from the where the fake Jaycee stood.

Salvators eyes glowed murderously, his red eyes bright and determined. Fear and relief both overcame me. Fear at his rage and what he could do, but relief at the fact he was risking it all to help Jaycee.

His nails tore through his gloves hands embedding themselves into Chris's muscle. As Salvator's sunk his fangs deep into Chris's neck, I ran to Jaycee turning her away from the horrifying sight.
