Jaycees POV:Training was what we planned to do but as we approached the waterfront, we stopped, hearing Coals ground shaking growl.
Needless to say, Layla and I were unable to pull our eyes away from our two mates, much to Cassy and Sadie's displeasure."That was so hot." Layla says rubbing her arms as she tries to rid herself of her goosebumps, one of many effects Coal's growl has on her. The bond was drawing her in and everything Coal or his beast did, only acts to impress and turn her on. "He has more power than an average Alpha, why does he suppress it all the time?" She whispers. "And what creature do we know, can evaporate water like that?"
My eyes flick around and I see most people unable to pull their gaze away from the conflict happening before us. That and the steam evaporating around Coal.
"I don't know Layla, but my mother could do that, as she was able to harness the power of the sun. She was meant to be the only one, however there might be a way to find out." I say smirking at an idea forming in my mind.
"How?""We challenge them. If we win Coal has to show us his form, and Viren has to come clean to everyone."
"Not bad.. but someone is confident. What if we loose?"
"We won't. But to play along, we agree to one date, the four of us."
"Wait so you mean to fight two versus two?" Layla asks catching onto my plan."Exactly." I smirk cockily "No time like the present."
"Wait Jaycee as good as your idea is, and I do think I've caught onto it, you need to allow me a back up plan just in case. We do need to use both our strengths in this after all." Layla says with a excited fire in her eyes.
Her level of excitement should have been enough to scare me away, but I sighed in defeat. "Fine. Let's hope my plan works so we don't need your back up plan. Judging by all the excitement I feel in your eyes, I have a feeling I'm not going to like it." I say as Layla grabs my arms and heads towards the exit.
"Sadie, Cassy we will only be a minute, finish up your training because you're not going to want to miss this." Layla yelled hurriedly dragging me towards the exit, not even waiting for a reply.Viren's POV:
Coal and I attracted a lot of attention earlier, much to our annoyance. It was hard enough to train against Coal and focus, however it was even harder having to put up with the small groups of girls cheering for the underdog every time we got hit or thrown to the ground.
"They are so distracting!" Coal growls out as he throws a punch at lightning speed, my jaw cracking upon the impact. Black spots dance along the edges of my vision as I'm airborne, only to disappear as my body submerged in the now warm water. It had changed from a icy cold to a steaming hot springs. It did wonders to speed up our healing and the water was great resistance training, well, for me anyway.River and Ember realised we were a little more competition that what they could chew for today; and after Coals frightening display they decided it was best to train near the other side of the pool furthest from the waterfall.
"Hey Coal I have an idea but I'm going to need you help. If I'm right about something, I think it will benifit you also."Coal sends a curious glare my way. "Go on.."
"Layla and Jaycee we're behind the rock earlier spying on us." Coal frowns. "Jaycee used her illusion spell to cloak them but they didn't predict I'd be able to see and sense her magic. Even if I couldn't see, smell or hear evidence of her, my beast and I could see it."
"I knew the blood smelt too strong to have been old. Somone must have tried to hide their scents." I nod
"If I'm not wrong, the girls wouldn't give up so quickly so I'm going to need your help. To do what I need, we have to go behind the waterfall."
