Jaycee's POV:

The world around me goes black, as a deep ringing fills my ears. My body aches and my head spins as the electrical current shoots straight to my frantically beating heart. The pain like being priced in the heart by a flaming sword.

"No!"

I hear Magista scream, though the sound was like that of a whisper in comparison to the deafening ringing bouncing around in my head.

My body pulses with my healing magic, the feeling both welcoming yet daunting as the familiar ice slithers through my veins, latching on as they go like little barbs. It was ten times stronger than before.

My magic was fighting to keep my heart beating, but the chill was slowing down my healing magic. The quiet cursing leaving Margo's lips, told me he hadn't meant to hurt me this badly.

My eyes flutter open with great difficulty, landing on the back of Magista. Her black curls suspended in the air as she jumps, dodging an attack only to throw one back towards Margo.

A wand of hard stone absorbed attack after attack, only to return to its owner in full force. I was amazed by the sight, almost missing the way Mago's eyes fill with shock and panic with each return.

I pick up screams from Cassy, Ember and handful of warriors. The earth shaking beneath our feet, thanks to the wizard with the power of earth.

Rocks, stones and clumps of soil disintegrate before our eyes leaving large craters where the solid ground once stood. Half of the pack stumble gripping last minute onto jutting roots and anything they can get their hands on.

"We need to think of something!" Frost growls out, her panic leaving my stomach in knots when combined with the consequences of using my healing magic without Viren.
"Something that can get to Margo also, or at the very least everyone else."

He is repelling every attack Magista is blasting back his way."

It takes me more seconds than I can afford, but I gasp shooting upright. My legs wobbling like jelly, but I force them to hold strong.
I close my eyes remembering the thousands of bees nestled deep inside their hives. My mind is wiped clean, like that of a blank canvas. A painting of vivid roses, petals of gold, orange and red dance brightly behind my eyes lids. Fields upon fields of beautiful flowers, their fragrant floral scent so strong, I can smell there scents clearly.

I open my eyes allowing them to land on our enemies. It takes three seconds for the low buzzing to grow louder. So loud the screams from my pack members are soon replaced by that of the witches.
Black swarms surround the remaining five witches, and I use my illusion magic on the bees, allowing them to believe the witches were trying to attack them.

Like a bad horror movie, they attack. Some forcing their way into their noses, mouths and ears. Using their stingers to protect what they think had been threatened. Their skin swelled with every sting, some more than others and I quickly turn my attention away not wanting to experience any more of their pain.

"How! How are you doing this?" Margo shouts. The sound not that of pain, but of frustration as he successfully blasts them back with a shield of flames. I didn't know which of the many elemental displays he was born with, and which he had wrongfully acquired, but the thought alone had me feeling sick.

"Simple." I say swallowing down the bile rising up my throat. "Rather than using my illusion magic on you, who is immune, I used it on my friends here."

Magista and I begin to help the others pull themselves up from the large pits, their bodies collapsing on themselves with exhaustion. They were all too tired to fight, especially now after holding themselves up for this long, trying not to fall into the bottomless pits.
