Erika was the first awake the next morning. She stretched out in her bed, smiling as she thought of Luke. She sat up halfway, squinting her eyes as sunlight flooded her room. She swung her legs over her bed and tied her hair up before dressing in her normal attire and walking out of her room.

She walked down the hall and stopped at her brothers room. She cracked the door and saw Nick still asleep, turned away from the door. She smiled and closed it quietly before walking towards the kitchen.

She got down the necessary things she needed to make a few cups of coffee and put it over the stove. She knew her mother always needed a cup of coffee to start her day, and today was a day she wanted one as well.

About ten minutes later, when she finished her first cup, she heard her mother's footsteps approaching and looked up from the newspaper.

Amelia yawned as she walked in the kitchen, not noticing Erika sitting at the table. She poured herself a cup and then realized who made the coffee. She was smiling when she turned towards her daughter.

"Good morning, Erika." She walked over and kissed the top of her head.

"Morning, Momma."

"You're up early." Amelia commented.

"Early bird gets the worm."

Amelia chuckled. "What do you think we should do today, Miss Morgan?"

Erika leaned against the counter with a hum. "Can we go to Beechers Hope?"

"We were just there yesterday." Amelia replied with a laugh.

"I know," she began, "but I wanna see Uncle Charles and Jack."

"I'll talk to your father, see what he thinks."

"Talk to me about what?" Arthur sauntered into the kitchen, running a hand through his sandy brown hair.

"Your daughter wants to go to Beechers Hope." Amelia said, leaning against the counter.

"Alright." He shrugged his shoulders.

Amelia scoffed and chuckled with a shake of her head. She then looked over at Erika. "Once Nick wakes up, we'll head over there, okay?"

Erika nodded. "Okay," she took a sip of her coffee, "I'll make sure to be extra loud." She dumped out the rest of her coffee and dropped the cup in the sink before walking away.

"Erika!" Amelia huffed. "Oh, I'm gonna rip that girl a new one." She looked up at Arthur. "She's your daughter!"

"She's yours too!" Arthur defended. "That ain't my attitude, that's all you, woman."

"Woman?" Amelia stared up at him. "I think I prefer Amelia or honey."

"Oh, do you now?" Arthur pulled her in by her waist.

Amelia smiled as she stared up at him. "Dupek." She smiled before kissing him.

The Morgan's rode in on heavy horses an hour later. Amelia led, followed by Erika, then Nick, and finally Arthur. They all tethered their horses by the house. Abigail came out and smiled as they walked up the porch steps.

"Well, look who came to visit." She laughed. "And when I just saw the lot of ya yesterday."

Amelia smiled as she walked up. "Erika wanted to come and see her Uncle Charles."

"Well, what about her favorite Auntie?" Abigail turned towards her and placed her hands on her hips.

"Actually," Erika spun around, "Aunt Mary-Beth is my favorite. You're my second favorite, though."
