Once the remainder of the old gang members, or the family, arrived, the party could start. Just as the last guest, who happened to be Sadie, arrived, the party started. Everything was lively and exciting, people talking and moving everywhere. Erika had chosen her party colors this year to be pink and blue. She walked out back, tuning out the noise as she smiled at her family. Luke was talking with Jack when he saw Erika walk outside.

He looked over at Jack. "Distract her, please?" He said quickly.

"Erika?" Jack questioned.

Luke nodded. "I got her a few gifts. They're hidden in Nick's room, but keep her distracted for me so I can go grab them, please?"

"Yeah," Jack patted Luke's shoulder, "I got you."

"Thank you." He slipped around people so he could get away discreetly.

Jack walked over to his younger cousin and wrapped his arm around her shoulder. "Happy birthday, shortie."

Erika looked up at Jack with a smile. "Thank you, Jack." She took in a big breath as she leaned into her cousin's shoulder. "I can't believe I'm seventeen. Last I knew, I was still five and daddy was chasing me around the backyard." She laughed.

"Last I remember was the day you were born." He smiled. "I remember the day after when you came home. We had a party planned for you and Aunt Amelia. She came home with a tiny little bundle wrapped in a pink blanket my Ma had stitched together. We saw your little face and those big, dark blue eyes and we instantly fell in love with you."

Erika smiled brightly at her cousin's words. She brought her arm up to hang on his as he placed a soft kiss in her hair. "Now, you're seventeen, has a boyfriend, and a big attitude."

"I do not!" She slapped his chest as she laughed.

"That right there, is attitude, Miss Morgan."

"Shut up." She laughed. She felt a tap on her shoulder and spun around. There was Luke in front of her with a big bouquet of pink roses and carnations wrapped in a pink ribbon. He also held a picture frame of the two of them together and a small teddy bear. Erika brought her hands up to cover her mouth as Luke smiled.

"Happy birthday."

"Luke," she grinned at the gifts, "you didn't have to do all this."

"I know," he hugged her, "but I wanted to. Your Momma helped me pick them out."

Erika took the picture frame and looked at it puzzled. "Who got this photo?"

"That would be my mother's doing," he laughed, "we were outside on a log, and I had told you a joke as you took a bite of a sandwich, and you busted out with laughter, and she had to get this photo of us." He looked down at it. "I think it's a good one of us."

"It is," she laughed and looked up at him, "thank you."

"Anything for you." He leaned down and kissed her softly.

Arthur and Amelia were watching from afar and Arthur's jaw dropped at all his gifts to his daughter. Amelia smiled at her husband's shock.

"He really went all out for her, didn't he?"

"I helped him pick out the flowers," Amelia answered, "but everything else, he did on his own." She smiled. "I think she found a good one, don't you?"

Arthur nodded with a smile. "I think she did."

Nick came over to his parents with Rose tailing behind him. "When is the cake being cut?" He questioned.

"Whenever we decide." Arthur answered with a chuckle.

"Can it be soon?"

"Be patient, Nick."

Nick groaned as he began making his way back up to the house, Rose tailing behind him. He opened the door and let her walk inside first. She stopped outside his bedroom door, and he looked down at her with a questionable look.

She pulled him close to her with a lustful look. "I know a way we can pass the time."

Nick pinned his arms next to her head and leaned down. "Miss Johnson," Nick began, a lustful tone in his voice, "we are at my sister's birthday party."

Rose craned her neck upwards to look him in the eyes. "Cake will come quicker, Mister Morgan."

Nick chuckled and kissed her hard, wrapping his arms around her waist tightly. Rose fed her hands through his hair, pulling at the blonde locks. He backed up against his bedroom door, reaching to turn the knob. He succeeded, pushing it open with his hand. He closed it by pushing her against it again. He pinned her dainty wrists above her as he went from her lips, down her jaw, and to her collarbone. She sucked in a breath as he pinched the skin between his teeth.

A small moan escaped her mouth, a groan following. He sucked the skin gently, Rose's breath quickening. He went from pinning her hands above her down to her thighs, lifting her from the floor. She wrapped her legs around his waist as he carried her over to his bed. She landed back on the bed with a huff, her legs open as he crawled up her body. He kissed her again, reaching underneath her dress to her undergarments. He pushed the thin fabric out of the way and slipped a finger into her.

This made her jolt and moan into his mouth. He continued his slow movements as she gripped his arm with her nails. She felt a release coming, but Nick removed his finger before she could release. She whimpered up at him, but he pulled the thin underwear down her smooth legs and threw them to the side. He unbuttoned his jeans and slipped himself out just as much as he needed to. He lined himself up at her entrance and pushed into her. He groaned as he leaned over her, her tight walls inviting. He began a slow pace, Rose holding back her moans as much as possible.

Nick quickened his pace, holding himself back as Rose bit down on the back of her hand. He felt his own release coming quickly and kept up his fast pace. Rose's walls tightened and this was his breaking point. He quickly pulled out of her as she finished in sync with him. They sucked in deep breaths and laughed at what just happened.

Nick walked over to his dresser and pulled out a shirt and walked back over to the bed. He wiped her clean and them himself. Rose sat up and grabbed her underwear, pulling them back over her legs. Nick buttoned himself back up and kissed her deeply, her hands running over his biceps and chest. He pulled away and smiled down at her.

"Come on, let's go out to the kitchen so no one finds out."

Amelia carried the cake out with Abigail following, seventeen pink and blue candles stuffed in her hands. Amelia laid the cake on the table in front of Erika and Abigail placed the candles on the cake. Arthur and John struck a match and lit the candles quickly. They then stepped back.

Erika closed her eyes and thought for a moment before blowing out all the candles in one go. She smiled as everyone around her clapped and cheered. She looked back at Luke, who was confused at this new celebration of the nontraditional singing.

"You guys don't sing?" He asked Nick.

He shook his head. "Momma and Pa made it a thing to not sing the corny song and let us get straight to the point of making a wish and blowing out the candles."

"That's," he paused, "interesting."

"Alright," Amelia and Erika took the candles out of the cake, "someone go grab me a knife so we can cut this cake, and this little Miss Morgan can open her gifts."
