--- Rooster's Point of View ---
My emotions were a mix of anger and happiness, and complete and utter bewilderment at seeing him.
I was happy because here he was, in front of me, alive, his injuries looked painful and extensive, clearly, he was burned. My heart ached at seeing him like that, I wanted nothing more than to pull him close and hug him.
I was pissed off because he lied about being dead, and he has clearly been messing with me and Chase, I'm not sure why he was doing that, but the protective side of me was worried about the emotional stress and what it might do to her baby.
"How..." Was all that I got out, I was still stunned and unable to move that easily, it was like I was caught in place.
He simply looked at me, I lowered my gun and raised my hand, I wanted to touch his face, to see if he was real, instantly he jumped back and gave me a look he had never
"Why don't you come in... I'm sure Chase will love to see you, your baby..."
"You can't tell her that I am alive."
Anger came to the surface, and I narrowed my eyes at him
"Why the fuck have you been messing with us, she smelled you Hangman, you have caused her pain..." I growled, I saw the hurt and sadness in his expression instantly.
"Bradley!" I turned and looked towards the house, hearing her cry out, there was worry and fear in her voice that made my heart thud painfully, I looked back, he was gone, looking down I saw the footprints.
"Fuck." I muttered under my breath, I turned and started walking towards the house, starting to run after a while and soon I was back at the house.
She was standing in the stoop of the front door, and she had a blanket wrapped around her and she looked at me worried.
"Sorry baby, I thought I saw something and I ran after it."
"The upstairs is clear."
I forced a smile, she smiled back, clearly not picking up that something was wrong, internally I was freaking out considerably, I walked into the house right behind her, I shut the door, she walked over to the couch and laid down.
"Let's go upstairs."
"But it's cold up there."
"Not if we bring lots of blankets and cuddle – also I got the buddy heater so we can put that nearby, we should be fine..."
She looked at me and gave me a soft smile.
"This couch isn't that comfortable."
"We will get a new one as soon as we can, come on." I held out my hand she walked up the steps, when we got to the dark room it was freezing, I made sure the window was shut as she piled blankets on the bed, I looked behind me, seeing her get into bed utterly naked.
I was going to ask it but the look she gave me told me everything – I could see the need in her eyes, and I fucking loved it when she looked at me like that, I grabbed the buddy heater and turned it on, putting it on the table next to the bed.
I was doing my best not to freak out about seeing Hangman – the whole thing was running around in my mind, and I wasn't even sure why I wasn't tell her – here was an odd type of loyalty that I had with him, and I knew right now wasn't the time.
"Can you warm me up Lieutenant Bradshaw?"
"Pushy, pushy..." I smiled at her and took off my shirt and pants, getting into the blankets I moved and got on top of her, not giving her any chance to pull away I started kissing her, I needed the distraction.
