A/n this is so short and I'm mad!!!!! But Instagram kept on freezing on me making it 10x harder but yeah I'm sorry that it's short!!! The story gets better; I think and hope.
Shawn POV
As I get home I see my mum in the kitchen
Me: "mum can I talk to you?" She nods quickly while pouring herself a glass of water
Me: "there's this girl-" her eyes get big
"- and we've been good friends for awhile; about 2 months. And for some reason I have-"
Mum: "butterflies?" I nod and she starts to smile
Mum: "did you have feeling before today?" I shake my head no
Me: "well when I met her I thought she was pretty but then I got to know her and we became friends- but now..."
Mum: "you have feelings?" I sigh and nod
Me: "what do I do?" She laughs while taking a drink
Mum: "personally I think you should just ask her on a date. See what she says."
Me: "I mean we go on dates all of the time; but it's more like friends dates"
Mum: "well then let her know it's a REAL date"
Me: "what if she doesn't like me like that?"
Mum: "she must! Especially if your best friends with-"
Me: "what The Shawn Mendes?" Seeming annoyed
Mum: "no. Just Shawn, the dorky funny caring person she became friends with." She shoots me a smile and I nod at her
Mum: "how can she say no?"
Aaliyah: "easy she says no" she butts into our conversation
Me: "ha ha" she laughs at me
Aaliyah: "I'm kidding. Whoever she is, just ask her" I nod and I'm about to head upstairs
Aaliyah: "where are you going?" Both looking confused
Me: "my room??"
Mum: "go ask her!" I laugh and put my hands up in defense
Me: "alright alright!"
--OH MY GOD! Also Aaliyah had her 8th grade graduation today.....she will literally be a high schooler; that's crazy
