Ireally liked the simplicity of the cover, especially the different size of fonts. It's beautiful and attractive.
• TITLE : 9/10
The title is just perfect. It's intriguing, catchy and gives a hint of what the story might be.
• BLURB : 8.5/10
A couple of questionable grammar problems, but otherwise held the perfect amount of mystery and revealing. It expressed the concept of the story and portrayed just enough to make me want to see what will happen next.
The grammar problems are "all Maddie could ever hope is for a brighter future and for the broken pieces of her past and present to finally mend." here, the second 'for' can be dropped. "but will she ever find home in spite of her dysfunctional family..." here it should be 'a home'. Other than that, the blurb is pretty good.
• CHARACTERS : 9/10
I can relate myself to Maddie, which is fantastic. You portrayed her character very well, and it just felt realistic, like any other ordinary girl. Liam is mysterious and intriguing. But, I think you should work more on physical description and show more reactions/emotions of the characters, especially side characters.
• CREATIVITY : 9/10
Your writing style is superb. The ways you described Liam, readers can feel that there is something more about that hoodie guy. I liked how you showed us Maddie's feelings rather than telling us.
• PLOT : 13/15
Although it's a common cliché plot and you know what's going to happen next, but even then, you have that certain excitement to read what will happen next. The flow of the story is good, not too fast, nor too slow. It just felt natural.
• GRAMMAR : 13/15
I noticed some minor grammatical and some major punctuation errors. You should edit your chapters, but if you want to change after completing the book, it's totally fine as you don't have a lot. Just read aloud at once and do the basic editing, so that readers don't have a problem in understanding.
