Yu Yue eyed her like looking at an idiot "you know this is an important event yet you dared to dilly dally around? Even the sect masters all came here right on time" she scolded harshly.

Yu Yue just smiled back at her as she retorted smoothly, "even the sect masters didn't mind. In fact, we're just right on time. Besides, why are you making a fuss? Are you the host? Even though you know that it's already time you keep picking on us purposely, is that how the heavenly maiden behave?" she spoke calmly as her gaze narrowed into a cold smile.

What Yu Yue said was the truth though, they were just on time. They just happen to arrive last in the arena.

The cloud heaven sect master's face darkened as she eyed Fan Xing Xing who was furious but unable to retort as she received the ire of several people.

Her face paled as she clenched her hands feeling wronged as she finally settles down and eyed Yu Yue venomously. She's never been this publicly embarrassed, not even when she clashes words with ming Yu Xue before.

With a harrumph the cloud heaven's sect master stood up and started speaking, "the long-awaited sect exchange is finally commencing, it's always been a measure of prowess. Today we would be able to witness the exciting exchange again. However, there is a slight change. Sect disciples under twenty years old could participate in the competition" he said leisurely.

As he spoke, the second and third-rate sects started muttering to themselves. They wondered why the rules keep changing.

Ming Yu Hua and Yu Yue also exchanged glances, they keep quiet with a frown. However, other sect masters aren't calm anymore as their expressions sank. They spend a lot of resources these days for their participants, it's clear that something is going on.

"This is unfair!" someone shouted with a red face, full of dissatisfaction.

"I know everyone's concern. However, this is the sect exchange and it's been decided in the last moment" the cloud heaven's sect master spoke calmly as he put his hand behind his back with a sneer.

The person who just spoke was stunned, "you all!" he fumed as he points his fingers angrily.

"If you don't wish to participate, you can withdraw from the competition" he replied unhurriedly. The other sect masters from the five great sects just remained quiet, expressing their stance.

The crowd was in a frenzy as they started voicing their discontent. "why is the sect exchange keeps changing rules?" someone asked suspiciously.

"yeah right!" someone supported.

The cloud heaven's sect master was silent for a while before he said anything after glancing at his accomplices. "just as I said you can leave freely if you're unsatisfied. However, once you left you can't participate next time nor enter the floating mist island ever again" He said with a small smile that silences the crowd.

"why is it like this?" Ming Yu Hua frowned as she finally spoke up.
