Tommy POV

Tommy stared at the bathroom floor, attempting to comprehend what he was seeing. Petals littered the ground, the cause too crazy to wrap his head around. How could he vomit petals? It wasn't possible... It was fiction.

He reached towards a petal, gingerly holding it in his palm. His hands shook uncontrollably, almost causing the petal to fall. He just couldn't understand how it possible.

A cough crawled up his throat, throwing him into a coughing fit. He hunched over, struggling to breathe. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't pump air into his lungs. Panic seized his body. His hands flew to his throat in an attempt to open his throat. But there was nothing he could do. He could only pray it passed.

Thankfully, after a moment it did. Coughing up another rose petal, he forced air into his lungs. Leaning against the sink, he took deep breaths. As many as he could spare. He never wanted to feel that panic again.

He stayed on the floor for a while, terrified it would happen again. When his body finally relaxed, he willed himself to move. He slowly got to his feet. His eyes drifted towards the mirror out of habit. Glazing at his mirror, he couldn't help but feel puzzled.

Messy blonde hair and bright blue eyes. Tommy looked the same as yesterday. He moved closer, studying his face carefully. Nothing unusual. It was just Tommy.

He glanced back towards the petals that drifted along the tile. How could he come that close to suffocating, but seem healthy the next minute? It made no sense.

The sound of his phone ringing pulled him out of his thoughts. He rushed into his bedroom, spotting his abandoned computer. It was still open to Minecraft, exactly how he left it. His eyes grew wide. How long had he been in the bathroom?

Looking at the time, he gasped in disbelief. It had been nearly an hour! Tubbo must be worried sick, he thought to himself.

"Hello?" he grabbed his phone, answering swiftly.

"Oh hey Tommy." Tubbo's voice fell flat. The disappointment was clear just from the first word. A lump grew in his throat as Tommy realized the brunette was hoping for his voicemail.

"Tub-" Tommy began, feeling like he might burst. Tubbo could help him! Maybe he-

"I gotta go Tommy. I just called to tell you I can't stream tonight. Wil invited me to their Sleepy Boys stream." He hung up before Tommy could even say a word.

Allowing his phone to drop from his hand, he closed his eyes. He could feel something squeezing his lungs again. Like it was growing, forcing its roots into his muscle.

Resting his head against his desk, he began coughing violently again. He struggled to force air into his lungs, clawing at his throat. It was happening again. He could see the darkness fading into his vision. His body couldn't handle this.

He gripped his chair, attempting to hold up his body. But it wasn't enough.

And he fell to the floor and into the darkness.
