Tommy POV

Tommy yawned, stretching as he got out of bed. Glancing at his alarm clock, a small smile spread on his face. Today was the day Wilbur and Techno were finally going to let him perform at a gig! It seemed like nothing in the world could wipe the grin off his face, he was just too excited.

"Tommy get up! You're going to make us late for school if you don't hurry up!" a yell came from outside his door. Rolling his eyes, he couldn't help but feel annoyed about having to go to school. At least he could share his exciting news with all his friends! Maybe they would even come to see him!

"Coming!" he shouted back, rushing around his room to collect everything he needed. He made sure to pack the music Wilbur had written for him, planning to practice during lunch. Pulling his usual clothes on, he sprinted downstairs.

Wilbur and Techno were at the table, joking and laughing as they ate breakfast. It was clear that they were just as excited as Tommy was, which made his heart swell even more.

"Hey guys!" Tommy greeted, quickly pouring himself a bowl of cereal.

"Hey Toms, how'd you sleep?" Wilbur ruffled his hair fondly.

"Great!" the blonde responded brightly, almost unable to contain his excitement. It wasn't everyday he got to play alongside his favorite band in the world.

Techno chuckled, "Excited, are we?"

"I can hardly wait!" Tommy burst out, jumping up as he said it. He nearly spilled his bowl of cereal over in the process.

Wilbur laughed, "Well you are going to have to wait until after school."

Tommy couldn't help but groan at the reminder. "Can't Phil let us skip?" He knew it wasn't going to work. After all, he had tried it before with no success. But it was still worth trying.

"Tommy, it's only seven hours." Techno rolled his eyes, glancing up from his bowl.

"Yeah, seven hours too many!"

"I thought you wanted to see your friends?" Wilbur questioned, putting his dish in the sink. "What happened to that?"

"I do! But I'm not going to pass up an opportunity to skip school!" the blonde exclaimed, feeling that his reasons were reasonable. Leaning back in his chair, he folded his arms. "If I could, that is..."

"Hey if we have to suffer, so do you." Techno smirked. "Now hurry up, we have to leave in five minutes."

Tommy's eyes widened and he quickly began eating faster. The two brothers chuckled, leaving to pack their bags. Tommy quickly finished his cereal, dropping his bowl in the sink before running to brush his teeth. Eventually he was standing beside his brothers, right on time and ready to leave.

The three drove to school quickly, arriving just in time. Techno and Wilbur waved goodbye to Tommy, heading off to their classes, reminding him to stay out of trouble like they always did.

Tommy sprinted to his class, making it in just before the final bell rung. He still couldn't wipe the grin off of his face.

Today was going to be a great day, he was sure of it.
