Tommy POV

It was so quiet, silent even. Everything had been so perfect. His audience was growing more and more with each video, he was enjoying what he was doing, and best of all, he felt like he was finally surrounded by people he could trust. True friends, he wanted to call them.

The train rumbled beneath his feet, gently rocking back and forth. Tommy leaned against the foggy glass, closing his eyes as the coolness flooded his skin. Whispers picked up around him, each person complaining about something different.

A middle age man sat near the edge of the seat, glancing down at his watch at least six times a minute. He was constantly peeking out of the seat and looking up and down the aisle. With a tapping foot and a grumbling beneath his breath, Tommy knew he was late.

Across the aisle, a woman sat with her head pressed against the cushion in front of her. Her two kids sat on either side of her, arguing about the color of the train. One said gray, the other said light brown. Tommy didn't care either way. He couldn't help but look towards the silent woman, probably at her end in terms of patience.

Complaints filed up the rows, only growing as the train tracked on. Tommy curled up in his seat. Train rides used to be filled with so much fun. Vlogs of laughter and pranks were evidence of that. Now they were just a reminder of what he didn't have.

He had taken the spotlight so quickly. Not that Tommy minded, sometimes he liked disappearing into the shadows. He watched as Ranboo took centerstage, quickly becoming everyone's best friend. Suddenly Tubbo and him were inseparable, gaining a new duo name among the fans.

It started with one stream then it became more frequent. Ranboo was the main character in everything. Jackbox, minecraft, even just hanging out streams. At first Tommy thought his invite had gotten lost. After all, no one was perfect. And with there being an exciting new person it was easy to forget the blonde.

The first few times he asked to join, receiving little to no response back. And the longer he waited, the more he realized they weren't missing his messages.

They were ignoring him.

So, Tommy stopped trying. He took a break from streaming, spending more time with his family instead. And that was nice. But it didn't fill the hole his friends had left.

"How far away are you?" the sudden vibration of his phone dragged him back to the train. Tommy smiled softly, quickly typing a response back.

"I told you I would be there around six."

There was a pause in which Tommy could tell he was thinking.

"Well... Dream got too excited so we left a little early..."

"Don't tell me you've been waiting there for hours!"

"..."

"George."

"It's only been a few hours..."

Tommy's grip tightened on his phone. A few hours? "You know I can't make the train go any faster, right?" Six! That's the time he had told them. He had even mentioned that he would probably arrive after that!

"We know! We're just so excited to see you!!!!!- Sapnap"

Tommy couldn't hide the grin on his face. If they wanted to wait then... Then that wasn't his fault, he realized. Besides, they were truly excited to see him. And that feeling of actually being wanted was so refreshing.

It had taken some convincing to meet up with them. Not because he didn't want to, but because he didn't want history to repeat itself. He didn't want people to hangout with him out of obligation. And despite their reassurances that, that wasn't the case, Tommy was still hesitant.

And now Tommy was finally on the train to meet them. It was nice to have them living so close, especially with them all living together in the UK. Biting his lip, Tommy hoped this wouldn't be a one time thing. He wanted to hangout with them.

The hours passed by faster than the train on the tracks. Texts flew between the friends with George's phone often getting infiltrated by the other members in the group. The complaining on the train had been replaced with his laughter, which seemed to spread through the rows. Tommy couldn't remember the last time he had smiled this much.

Well he could... But he didn't want to.

After the long conversations consisting of sending memes to each other, the train finally screeched to a stop. Tommy could hardly believe his eyes. Where had the time gone? Not that he was complaining.

Throwing his backpack over his shoulder, Tommy peeked out the window. A thorn of disappointment tore at his heart when he didn't see them. Did they not come? Shaking his head, he knew he needed to be patient.

The teen shuffled his way out of the train, wanting nothing more than to leap into his friends arms. Assuming they were there. He followed the platform towards the train station. His eyes studied every inch of the place, looking for their familiar figures.

Where-

"Tommy!" The blonde barely had time to turn around before he was plowed over by the Dream Team. He laughed, quick to pull them into a group hug. They obliged, each one grinning from ear to ear.

"How was the train ride?!"

"Was the food good?"

"How have you been, kid?"

"It's so good to see you!"

"We're so glad you could make it!"

Tommy grinned at the last question, "I wouldn't have missed it for the world." His eyes filled with glass as that hole in his heart began to fill. The Dream Team pulled him into another hug.

Sapnap ruffled his hair, laughing, "Neither would we!"

He knew, without a doubt, he was home.
