Tommy POV

The days passed slowly and Tommy never left the room. He barely ate, not wanting anything to do with his "family". He had never felt so trapped in all his life. The people who were supposed to love him were keeping him there against his will. Even the mere suggestion of him leaving was enough to cause a fire in them.

So Tommy kept to himself, counting the black dots in the wall. His brothers would try to talk to him, try to make him understand. But nothing they said could ever make him forgive them.

Tommy figured there was no hope, no way out. But a week after he had been taken, he heard a whisper outside his window.

"Tommy?" It was spoken barely above a whisper. The blonde was sitting on his bed, like always. He spared a slight glance at the glass before shaking his head. It must have been the wind. Nobody knew he was here. Nobody was coming to save him.

Tommy sighed, running a hand through his hair. Now his ears were playing tricks on him. He believed that.

That is until he heard it again.

"Tommy, are you there?" The whisper was louder. Far too precise to be the wind.

Tommy jumped out of bed, tiptoeing towards the window. Someone was there. His heart began to beat faster as his mind began to race through possibilities. He took a deep breath before squinting through the glass. A gasp escaped his throat when he saw who it was.

"Tubbo?!" he said in disbelief, quickly covering his mouth. A glance towards the bedroom door and he could only pray no one had heard him. A moment passed before he carefully opened the window. "What are you doing here?" he whispered as quietly as he could.

"I've been looking for you! You disappeared!" the brunette exclaimed, concern shimmering in his eyes. "Why are you here?"

Tommy bit his lip, again glancing over his shoulder. "My old family kidnapped me!" he whisper yelled, watching Tubbo's eyes grow wide. "They won't let me leave."

Tubbo thought for a moment, studying the window. "What are they doing now?" he questioned, looking back towards the way he came from.

The blonde was quiet for a moment, listening for any sound. Sure enough, soft laughter drifted from what Tommy assumed was the living room. "They must be watching TV."

"What if you slipped out now, would they notice you were gone?" he asked, shifting from foot to foot.

"It can't be that easy..."

"Will they notice?" Tubbo hissed.

Tommy wasn't sure. Their visits to his room had become less and less frequent in the last few days. "Eventually... maybe in an hour?" he offered, but even that seemed to too generous.

"Let's go then! We just have to make it back to my car. Dream is waiting. And then we can get out of here and you'll be safe!" Tubbo sputtered, his heart obviously beginning to pound.

Tommy hesitated for a moment. What if his family tracked him down again? It would be even worse than now. But a more desperate part of him knew this was the only chance he had. If he didn't take it, he would regret it.

He quickly made up his mind, quickly jumping to his feet. His family was smart, he knew that. But he also knew they had been more and more laid back when checking on him. Maybe he could buy himself some time. He shoved a pillow under the blankets, attempting to create the illusion of him sleeping. Upon closer inspection, he knew it wouldn't fool them. But it was the only hope he could cling to.

Tommy then turned to the window, carefully prying it open wider. When it was just big enough, he began to climb through. It was a tight squeeze, but it was just enough.
