Tommy POV
Tommy slowly made his way towards the house, hating the pit that grew in his stomach. He ignored it the best he could, stepping onto the porch. Loud music blared out of every window in the house, mixing with the singing. The stench of smoking filled the air.
Taking a deep breath, he pushed the door open. The party was in full swing, filled with dancing and laughing. Usually Tommy would have strolled in with a dramatic entrance, but not tonight. He just wanted to drown his sadness. And alcohol gave him the perfect opportunity.
"Tommy!" a voice cut through the crowd, that of course being his friend from the phone. He was already drunk, staggering as he made his way towards the blonde. The teen laughed in his face, "I knew you would be here!" he hiccupped.
"Yeah... I guess you were right." Tommy sighed, not wanting to really think about it. "Where's the alcohol?" he asked, hoping it didn't sound as desperate as he felt.
The teen pointed off towards another room, again nearly toppling over. "Drink as much as you want!" He disappeared into the crowd, probably going to make out with the first person he saw.
Tommy began walking towards the kitchen, keeping his head down as much as possible. He didn't feel like being the life of the party tonight. That nagging sorrow wouldn't go away. He dodged through the sea of people, barely managing to make it to the fridge.
Throwing the door open, he swiftly grabbed a beer. He grabbed the abandoned bottle opener, opening it before bringing it to his lips. Immediately the liquid fell down his throat, burning. He focused on the taste, savoring the numbness that began to spread through him.
Suddenly nothing mattered. Not the party. Not Tubbo. Not even him. Glazing down at the bottle, he couldn't help but laugh. How could he be so stupid? How could he really convince himself that Tubbo wanted to hangout with him? It was his fault for hoping.
He quickly finished the beer, moving onto his second. He drank bottle after bottle, feeling himself beginning to drift away. He welcomed the feeling, allowing the darkness to sweep him off his feet.
He just didn't care anymore.

Wilbur POV
"Wilbur! I'm home!" his brother's voice called through the house. Footsteps headed his direction, accompanied by the jingling of keys. Techno peeked around the doorframe, a look of confusion washing over his face. "Where's Toms?"
Wilbur finally looked up from his notebook. "He went to the park to meet Tubbo." He went back to writing his music, barely noticing Techno's silence. He didn't even realize the pinkette was still standing there.
"Didn't you tell him about movie night?" Techno raised an eyebrow, knowing Tommy was not one to pass up the event. "And weren't they planning on hanging out here?"
Wilbur shrugged, finally putting his notebook aside. "He said he would be back around ten."
Techno turned to stare at the clock that ticked down the hall. "It's eleven!" he exclaimed, a newfound panic spreading through his blood. He took off down the hall and out of sight.
The brunette jumped to his feet. How could he not realize how late it was? He raced after his brother, immediately grabbing his phone on the way out of his room. Techno was at the front door, holding his phone up to his ear. His foot tapped the floor impatiently as he awaited an answer.
He hung up a moment later, biting his lip. "We need to go find him!" His hand reached for the door but Wilbur stopped him.
"Do you think we're being overprotective?" he questioned, remembering the last time this had happened. As much as he wanted to protect Tommy, he also wanted to trust him.
Techno whipped around to face him. "Don't you remember the party? My guess is he didn't meet Tubbo."
A pit formed in Wilbur's stomach at his words. "What do you mean? Why wouldn't he-"
"Didn't you see the notification for Ranboo's stream? Tubbo's with him tonight!" Techno explained, grabbing his phone and shoving it in Wilbur's face. "He must have cancelled on Toms."
"But Tommy wouldn't go to a party again... would he?" Wilbur couldn't help but wonder. He wanted to give his brother the benefit of the doubt, but he had a bad feeling.
"He should be home by now." Techno reminded him, finally swinging the door open. "We need to make sure he's okay. He can be mad at us all he wants. But it's our job to keep him safe. And him getting wasted at a party is dangerous." He headed out the door without another word, quickly reaching his car. He paused, calling out to the younger. "You don't have to come!"
Wilbur rolled his eyes at the suggestion. There was no way he was letting his brother go all by himself. "Oh, I'm coming!" he shouted, racing to the passenger side.
They just needed to know Tommy was okay.
