Tommy POV

Tommy sat on the couch, his nose buried in his biology textbook. He was constantly glancing towards the front door before going back to reading. He should be home any minute, he was sure of it. He didn't stop to consider that his father hadn't said a  word to him this entire week. Or the fact that he was never on time.

Despite Wilbur's words, he continued to wait for the man he called father. He knew he could make Phil proud. He just had to be smarter like Techno.

Wilbur entered the room, sighing when he noticed Tommy. "Are you still waiting Toms?"

"I have to!" Tommy exclaimed, glancing back towards the door.

The brunette ran a hand through his hair. Biting his lip, an idea popped into his head. "Hey, want to listen to my new song?"

The blonde whipped towards him, his eyes glistening with more excitement than Wilbur had seen in a while. "Really?! I thought you were waiting for Dad to-"

"Your opinion matters more." Wilbur stated, ruffling the boy's hair.

Tommy went to put his book aside before pausing. What if Phil came and he missed it? Besides... he would be missing precious study time. How could he expect to get smarter when he was taking all these breaks? "But..." He stood up, conflicted.

"Come on Toms, I think you've got time." the older reassured, wrapping an arm around the boy. "You've been studying too much anyway."

"There's no such thing." a monotone voice caused Wilbur to jump out of his skin.

"Techno! Don't do that!"

Techno shrugged, moving towards the kitchen. Dark eyebags fell under his eyes, further evidence of his horrible sleep schedule. It made Tommy tired just looking at him. The pinkette disappeared around the corner and out of view, probably searching for more coffee.

Tommy exchanged a look with Wilbur. "You think I study too much?"

"Well Tech is... well Tech."

"What does that mean?" the blonde smirked, luring the older with the question. He couldn't help but enjoy the chaos he knew was about to unfold.

"He's a nerd-"

"I heard that!"

Wilbur groaned, preparing to run if needed. "You know it's true!" The dark shadow of Techno loomed over them as Tommy giggled. He missed times like these. Often, the siblings barely interacted at all.

"Take that back." the oldest warned, putting his cup of coffee down. Tommy moved back towards the edge of the couch.

"Make me!" That was definitely the wrong thing to say. As soon as the words left his mouth, Techno charged at him. How he had an energy left was something Tommy would never understand. Tackling him to the ground, he began tickle him mercilessly. Tommy burst out laughing at his brothers' antics. But one look between the older two and he knew he wasn't safe.

Wilbur grabbed his foot, pulling the youngest into their horseplay. The brothers tickled him endlessly. Tommy was laughing so hard, he struggled to breathe. Thankfully his savior came in the front door opening.

Tommy watched as his brothers stiffened. Without eve looking, he knew who it was. Only one person had that effect on them.

Sitting up, he turned to face their father. The man paused at the sight of them. "What are you all doing on the floor?" he wondered aloud.

The three of them scurried to their feet, not wanting to really answer the question. The disappointment on his face if he were to heard they weren't studying, was enough for them to keep their mouths shut. Luckily, that seemed to be enough of an answer.
