Tommy POV
"Are you sure about this?" Wilbur questioned, leaning against the doorframe. He had been trying to convince Tommy to stay home. But the blonde had his mind set. He was going to this party.
Tommy rolled his eyes, pushing his drawer closed. "For the last time, I'm sure Wilbur. It's just a party, okay?" He pulled on his socks before reaching for his shoes.
"There's no such thing as just a party. Something always happens." the brunette warned, watching his younger brother carefully.
Tommy shook his head, knowing the older was just trying to scare him out of going. But he wouldn't be fooled so easily. He pushed past his brother and made his way towards the front door where Techno was waiting. Wilbur's stare burned into his back and Tommy couldn't help but feel a bit guilty. He knew the older had his best interest at heart. "Look, I'll text you if something happens, okay? You'll come get me, right?"
"I'll drop everything to come get you." Wilbur nodded, exchanging a glance with Techno.
Tommy took a deep breath, reaching towards the door knob. "I'll see you later then." Opening the door, he headed towards the car. Techno followed, looking back once before getting in the driver's seat. Tommy climbed into the passenger seat.
The pinkette chuckled, looking at the younger. "You would not believe how hard it was convincing Wilbur not come."
Tommy raised an eyebrow, "He could have come if he wanted to-"
"He would never have let you leave." Techno explained, turning the car on. He pulled out of the driveway, heading towards the address of the party.
Tommy thought for a moment before a question came to mind. "Why is Wilbur so hesitant in letting me go?" he questioned, genuinely curious.
The pinkette paused, tapping his fingers on the steering wheel. "A few years ago he was invited to a party that a few of his friends were having. I told him it was a dumb idea, but he was persistent on going. So he went. It only took fifteen minutes for him to call me, demanding that I come save him. Of course, I dropped everything and came to his rescue."
"What happened?"
Techno watched him carefully, trying to find the right words. "Kids were pressuring him into doing things that he didn't want to do. He was very uncomfortable. So I came in and saved him, taught a few people a lesson. They told him he was never welcome back and he was glad. He never went a party again." He glanced towards the younger. "He's just worried you'll go through the same experience."
"Oh." Tommy bit his lip, fidgeting with his fingers. Suddenly his nerves were beginning to rise. He had been so confident before, but now that seemed to be dwindling.
Techno sighed, knowing what he had caused. "You don't have to go if you don't want to. But if you do still want to go, I'll still be here. One call and I'll be there." A grin spread on his face. "I can't promise I won't punch a few people for messing with my little brother though."
The blonde offered a small smile. "These kids are different." He was trying to convince himself more than Techno. "They just want to have a good time."
"Are you sure?" the pinkette asked, searching his face.
Tommy gulped, trying to find his confidence again. "I'm sure."
Techno pulled up in front of a house, putting the car in park. He took a deep breath, watching as Tommy reached for the door. "Just remember what I said, alright?"
The blonde nodded, slowly getting out of the car. Music immediately filled his ears, making him gulp. Was he really about to do this? Glancing back at his brother, he could sense the worry. Tommy gave him a smile before closing the door behind him. "See you later Tech!" he called, looking back up at the house.
Before he could change his mind, he began walking towards the front door.
