Tommy POV
"Hello?" the familiar voice of Tubbo rang through the phone.
Tommy couldn't help but grin, the excitement growing in his chest. He hadn't seen his best friend in so long. "Hey Tubs, are you on your way?" Hope filled his voice, ready to be distinguished by the brunette's pause. His heart began to sink as the realization hit him.
"Um... actually I was wondering if we could do this another day? I know we've been planning this for a while and I'm really sorry. But Ranboo really wants to hangout tonight. I kinda already accepted because I forgot..." His voice trailed off, bitterness on his tongue.
Tommy swallowed, his eyes drifting towards his mirror. "Can't you do that another night?" he asked softly. But he already knew the answer. After all, at his point it was basically routine at this point.
"Well I could... But then I have to cancel." He paused, letting out a sigh. "I guess I can tell him another night..."
"N-no that's okay." the blonde closed his eyes, hating himself. "Since you already accepted, it would be rude to cancel this late." He took a deep breath. He knew it's what Tubbo really wanted. He was a fool to ever think otherwise. Sighing, he hated to admit his other friend had been right.
"Thanks Tommy! You're the best!" Immediately Tubbo's spirit rose, like he had just received the greatest news of his life.
He quickly hung up, barely saying so much as a goodbye. Tommy was left in the horrible silence. Closing his eyes, he abandoned his phone on his desk. It hurt how much he expected it. Sorrow seeped into his soul, poisoning his entire body. He had been truly looking forward to spending time with his best friend. If he could even call him that at this point. It seemed like Ranboo was replacing him. Which was fine. At least, that's what he told himself.
He laid there for what seemed like hours. When he finally composed himself, he stood up and made his way towards the door. Groaning, he grabbed his phone. He knew he had to make an appearance at the party. Maybe it would actually help him to feel better. At least he could drink his troubles away. Ignoring the pit in his stomach, he knocked on his brother's door.
Footsteps traced towards him, followed by the door swinging open. "Hey Toms, what's up?" Wilbur grinned, leaning on the doorframe.
"I-I-" Tommy took a deep breath, avoiding his brother's gaze. "I just wanted to let you know that Tubbo and I were planning on going to the park. We were going to hangout there..." His voice trailed off. Lying was his least favorite part of everything. To see all the trust in his brother's eyes, knowing he was taking advantage of it.
The brunette frowned, looking down at the younger in concern. "Sure, that's fine." He paused, attempting to read Tommy's expression. "Hey, are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine." Tommy brushed it off, still keeping his eyes glued to the wall. Had he always had so many guitars?
Wilbur nodded, deciding against pushing it. "You'll be home when Techno gets back, right?" he questioned.
"What time?"
The older shrugged, throwing out an estimation. "Maybe ten o'clock? We were hoping to have a movie night. You know, to enjoy our last night of it just being us. That is, before Phil gets back from his trip."
Tommy couldn't help but smile at the idea. It sounded so perfect. He agreed, "I should be home by then." He turned on his heel, heading towards the front door.
Wilbur followed after him, still staring at him thoughtfully. "So you're meeting him there, then?"
The blonde nodded, pulling on his shoes. He stood back up, reaching towards the doorknob. He hesitated, the guilt nagging at him. He should stay home. But the desire to numb his sorrow sounded better. "I'll see you later."
"Bye Toms!" his brother called out as the door shut behind him.
Taking a deep breath, Tommy began walking. He stuffed his hands into his pockets, not even attempting to find his phone. He didn't need it. The party was in the same house it always was.
He walked further and further, creating more and more distance between the house. It didn't take long to get there. And before he knew it, he was standing in front of the house. Night was beginning to fall, throwing the party into full swing.
Letting a sigh escape his lips, he began walking towards the house.

Hope you liked it!
I've decided that I'm going to continue to write Techno into my stories. I really enjoy writing him and I want to keep his memory alive as long as I can. He was one of my biggest inspirations and it feels wrong to stop even with him passing. I hope everyone is doing okay.
Feel free to request!
Hope you have a wonderful day!
