Tommy POV

Wilbur lead him through the forest, hardly ever stopping. The trees thinned out more and more until they came to a clearing. There stood what Tommy could only assume was a village. Houses lined the streets, buzzing with all kinds of people.

Tommy couldn't help but be fasinated by this new world around him. He kept stopping to look closely at something. Pressing his face up to the glass to look through windows, stopping to smell a mouth watering scent of fresh bread, nothing ever seemed to surpass Tommy's curiousity. Not that he could help it. It was a world he had only dreamed of.

Wilbur constantly pulled him along, complaining under his breath at every stop. But Tommy knew he wasn't really mad. The brunette's hidden smile was enough to convince him.

The one thing that Tommy didn't appreciate was all the staring. As he passed people in the streets, they would immediately move away. Staring at him until he was out sight became the supposed normal. The only thing that made them move on was Wilbur's glare.

The blonde didn't understand. Were they not all the same people? Why would he be treated any differently if he was one of them?

Wilbur finally managed to drag Tommy to a small cottage, sighing in relief at the sight of it. He barged through the door, bringing the boy with him. "I'm home!" Wilbur announced.

"We're in here." a friendly voice replied, urging them towards a room to the right.

While Tommy was hesitant to follow the voice, Wilbur wasn't. Taking the younger by the arm, he pulled him into the next room. The house opened up to a cozy area that Tommy immediately fell in love with. A fuzzy rug, comfy chairs, and a fireplace. It was something the blonde had only ever dreamed of.

He didn't take notice of the people until one of them stood up. Out of habit, Tommy was immediately on guard. Studying each of these strangers, he could immediately see the resemblance to Wilbur.

One of them looked only a little older than Techno, maybe by a couple years. A long pink braid ran down his back, loose and unkept. The man looked down at him, expressionless. Tommy couldn't help but feel on edge by his amber eyes. He was just so... intimidating.

The other man was much friendlier. And older. A lot older. His blonde hair was much messier than the other's. He had a different kind of sense about him. Like he had more experience than everyone... but he didn't seem like the type of person to boast about it. He was an obeserver, basking in chaos until it became dangerous.

"You must be the wolf boy we've heard so much about." the blonde smiled warmly. He stood up, causing Tommy to jump back.

"W-wolf boy?" Tommy stammered. Why did it sound so awful?

"You never told me a name..." Wilbur began, running a hand through his knotted hair. "I wasn't sure what to call you."

"Name..." Tommy repeated. Biting his lip, he knew the answer to the question. Or what he had always assumed was the answer to it. Of course, he had never been named officially. But there was one name that always echoed in his mind at a young age. And that was Tommy.

Tommy was the only name he had ever had. He had never really cared whether it was right or wrong. It was the name that had chosen him.

"My name is Phil." the blonde spoke up, pointing towards himself like Wilbur usually did. "This is Techno." He pointed towards the pinkette. Phil knelt in front of him, smiling. "And I'm assuming you already know Wilbur."

Tommy grinned, blurting out the first thing he thought of. "Old!" he referenced the man, giggling. Wilbur smiled, turning away to hide it. Even Techno's eyes seemed to show a hint of amusement.

Phil sighed, shaking his head in disapproval. "Did you really need to teach him to be like you, Wil?"

The brunette smirked, ruffling the boy's hair. "I'm a great example for him!"

"We need to call him something besides wolf boy." Techno commented thoughtfully. The tension in his body seemed to have lessened. But he still seemed unsure, much like Tommy himself.

"Name?" Tommy questioned, hoping he understood what he meant.

"Right." Techno nodded.

The blonde piped up, "Tommy!" He pointed back towards himself. "Always Tommy!"

Wilbur chuckled, "You do look like a Tommy..."

"Tommy it is then!" Phil laughed, looking fondly at the boy.

They continued to chat, making sure to use words that the blonde was familiar with. It wasn't long before the excitement of the day caught up with the boy. Yawning after every sentence, Wilbur was the first to catch on. The brunette urged him to sleep, throwing a fuzzy blanket over his figure.

Tommy laid, curled up on the couch, snuggling up to Wilbur's side. He had never felt so warm before. He never wanted to feel the bitterness of the night air again. Tommy never wanted to leave this place. Closing his eyes, he allowed the darkness to blanket his vision.

For once in his life he felt at peace.
