Tommy POV

He had failed. The one test that mattered more than anything else. The one test that was going to guarantee his ticket to the school he wanted. And he blew it.

He buried further into his blankets, wanting everything to just stop. He just wished a black hole would appear and swallow him whole. Facing his family's disappointment seemed like a fated death. Maybe if he just stayed in his room they would forget he existed.

A knock came from the door. Apparently that wasn't going to happen.

"Tommy?" a voice called, a bit hesitant. "Wilbur ordered your favorite pizza."

"And I'll eat all of it!"

Tommy peeked out of his pile of blankets, suppressing a smile. He didn't want to see anyone, least of all his brothers. The last thing he wanted to do was admit his score. "Go away!" he groaned, diving back under his blankets.

"Theseus please come out. You've been sad long enough." Techno's monotone voice came through the door.

"It's our job to cheer you up!" Wilbur shouted. "We've got an entire movie night planned! And we can't do it without you!" There was a pause before Tommy heard whispering. Obviously they weren't giving up anytime soon.

Tommy groaned, not sure if he could listen to them anymore. Slipping out of his cocoon of blankets, he made his way towards the door. He didn't even attempt to fix his messy hair. Today it just didn't matter.

Taking a deep breath, he decided to face the music. He creaked open the door, coming face to face with his brothers. "You guys are so annoying." he wiped his eyes, trying to smirk.

Without saying a word Wilbur wrapped the blonde in a hug. Tommy wasted no time hugging back. Blinking back tears, he leaned into his brother's touch. Techno watched, his usual blank eyes full of worry.

Pulling back, Wilbur smiled down at his little brother. "Let's go eat pizza and watch a movie, how does that sound?" Tommy's stomach growled at his words, making his face flush with embarrassment. The brunette laughed, dragging the blonde to the living room.

Techno grabbed the TV remote, bringing up Tommy's favorite movie. It was the first film they had ever watched together. Up. Wilbur sat beside Tommy, wrapping an arm around him. A moment later Techno joined them, sitting on the other side of the blonde.

Tommy smiled brightly as the movie started with the familiar scene. Pushing his half eaten pizza away, he curled into Wilbur. They watched the movie in silence for a few minutes before Techno finally spoke up.

"Tommy can I ask you something?"

The blonde closed his eyes, knowing exactly what he was about to ask. "Depends..."

Techno turned to Tommy, "Why were you so upset?" The younger searched his eyes, surprised to find nothing but concern. Sighing, he knew he had to admit the truth.

Wilbur sat up, his protective side immediately taking over. "Is someone bothering you? I swear-"

"No, no, it's not that." Tommy cut him off, his heart swelling at his brother's words. Being protected by people who truly loved you was one of the best feelings in the world. "I-" he stopped, his eyes welling with tears at the thought of his dreams falling.

The brothers looked at him, alarmed. "You're worrying me." Wilbur began, his brain switching between a million different scenarios.

Tommy looked away, his true fears being revealed. "You'll be disappointed..."

Techno raised an eyebrow, now even more concerned. "I doubt that." he commented, his eyes drifting back to the movie.

The blonde took a deep breath. The sooner the better, he knew that. "I failed my SAT." As soon as the words left his mouth he looked away. He wasn't sure if he could handle their reactions. Tears began dripping down his face as he was reminded of what he lost.

Two pairs of arms wrapped around him, sandwiching him between them. Tommy looked up at them, shocked to find that they didn't look disappointed at all. Biting his lip, he couldn't help but sob.

"That's alright Toms, I'm sure Dad will let you retake it." Techno suggested, his heart breaking. No wonder Tommy was so upset.

"But that cost money-y."

"You're worth it." Wilbur smiled, running a hand through his hair. "Dad would do anything for you, you know that."

Tommy sniffed, wiping his eyes on his sleeve. "Thank you..." he whispered, more than grateful for his older brothers.

The duo smiled at their younger brother. "Anytime."

The three of them watched movie after movie, bonding with every film. Eventually they fell asleep, curled up on the couch.

And when Phil got home that night, he was reminded about how much he loved his sons. Watching them grow so close, made his heart swell.

He threw a few blankets over them before heading to his armchair.

And the family fell asleep, together.
