Tommy POV
Tommy slowly blinked his eyes opened, a wave of confusion washing over him. Wood walls, earthy carpets. He was no where he recognized. He sat up in a wave of panic, his breath falling short. Where was he? Was he kidnapped?!
Struggling to breathe, he climbed out of the bed. He staggered to the window, hoping for any kind of landmark. Why was he here? What did he do? He searched the landscape, only finding unfamiliarity.
He sat down in defeat, burying his face in his arms. His eyes filled with tears at the thought of being home. Safe with Sam. The man who had took him in when he had no reason to. The first real father he ever had. Sam had saved him from the life that he hated.
Was Sam looking for him? Would he ever see him again? That only made him sob harder. Not seeing Sam ever again broke his heart. The man would be worried sick about him. He would be broken hearted.
Tommy barely heard the door open, not that he really cared. He was willing to just accept his faith. But suddenly there were arms around him, chipping away at his defenses.
"Tommy! You're okay!! Toms!" The figure held him close, continuing to whisper soft reassurances. The blonde sobbed into the man's chest, craving any source of comfort. He just wanted to go home. He wanted to see Sam again.
Slowly, but surely, he calmed down and finally gained control of his breathing. He regained control of his senses, suddenly recognizing the figure. "Get away from me!" he screamed, immediately pulling back.
Wilbur gasped at his outburst, watching as his little brother moved away from him. "It's me Tommy! Your big brother!" he spoke gently, gradually approaching the blonde.
But that only made Tommy's heart beat faster. No, no, this couldn't be happening. Wilbur was locked away from him. Sam had promised he would never see him again. His blue eyes widened as he was struck with realization. That meant the rest of his family was free too. Suddenly everything made sense.
That's what Sam hadn't let him leave the house in the past week. That's why Sam had been so protective. How could he not tell him the truth?!
"Leave me alone!" Tommy demanded, pressing himself further against the wall. After what his brother had done, he never wanted to see him again. Tommy couldn't forgive him for the past.
"Tommy, it's Wilby-" the brunette began, really trying his hardest to relieve the past.
"No! You're a murderer! You're not my brother!" he shouted, his heart hammering even harder. "I want to go home! Let me go home!" The plea was quieter with no hope left over. His family were psychopaths. He knew that. If they took him, they had no intention of ever letting him go.
Wilbur's eyes softened for a moment. If Tommy really looked hard enough, he could even see his big brother. But it was gone in the next moment. "This is your home." the older insisted, kneeling in front of him.
"No, no!" Tommy shook his head. He hated that a part of him wished it were true. But it wasn't. This wasn't the loving Wilbur he had grown up with. This was the crazy Wilbur who had helped kill his best friend. "My home is with Sam."
Wilbur seemed to grow angry at that as soon as the words left his mouth. His hands clenched into fists, prepared to punch the wall at his boiling point. "Sam is not your family! He took you away from us! He- he doesn't deserve you!" he yelled, nearly punching a hole in the wall. But he took a deep breath, almost showing regret. But Tommy knew better. "Besides he's gone."
"Gone?" the blonde echoed, his brain quickly fitting the pieces together. But his heart didn't want to accept it. "What do you mean gone?"
Wilbur finally met his eyes, sighing. "He's dead." His voice was cold, with no emotion. If Tommy didn't know better, he would have confused the brunette with Techno.
Tommy's world came crashing down in that moment. Sam couldn't be dead. Sam was the only thing he had left. The only fragment of hope he could even dream of having. Before he knew it, his eyes had filled with tears once more. "H-he can't be." he whispered.
"Tommy-"
"GET OUT! LEAVE ME ALONE!" Tommy screamed, immediately pushing Wilbur out of the room. Despite his hesitation, Wilbur barely fought back. In the end, he murmured a short apology before complying.
As soon as the older was gone, Tommy collapsed on his bed. He hiccupped, trying to hold back his tears. His true family was gone. And now he was trapped.
And he knew they would never let him go.
