Tommy POV

"Wait up Tubbo!" Tommy laughed, watching as the brunette ran further and further up the road. Rain poured from the clouds, blanketing the city around them in a cool breeze. Tommy was soaked to the skin, now regretting his decision not to steal Wilbur's sweater.

Ranboo walked beside him, shaking his head, mostly in amusement. "Where does he get all that energy?" His sunglasses and mask had long since been abandoned , now hidden away in his pocket. Everyone around already knew what he looked like, being polite enough not to share his face with the world. To them, he was just Ranboo, not the famous Youtuber the world loved. He was just Ranboo and that was the way he preferred it.

"We should probably catch up to him before he gets lost." the blonde commented, shivering. Running seemed like the best idea, accomplishing two things in one. Catching up Tubbo and warming up.

Ranboo rolled his eyes, turning away in order to hide his smile. "I guess."

The duo exchanged a glance before indicating with a nod that the race had begun. They ran through puddle after puddle, laughing as they went. Luckily, Tubbo was waiting for them so they didn't have far to go. Ranboo sprinted ahead of the younger, mocking, "Slow poke!"

Tommy flipped him off, causing the brunette to chuckle. The blonde was so focused on his best friends that he didn't see the huge pothole that stuck up in the middle of the road, ready to conquer any car that dared to hit it. With a groan, Tommy tripped, splashing into the giant puddle.

The other two laughed before jogging over to check on him. "You alright Toms?" Tubbo asked, offering a hand.

Tommy took it gratefully, slowly stumbling to his feet. He rung out his t-shirt in the hopes of getting the water, but it only seemed to soak in more water with the incoming downfall. Running a hand through his now muddy hair, he shivered. "Yeah, just cold." Goosebumps lined his skin, only further hinting how frozen he was.

Tubbo threw an arm around the blonde, steering him towards their final destination. "Our apartments aren't far. And I'm sure Phil wouldn't mind making us hot chocolate once we arrive."

The shivering boy smiled, liking the sound of that. "Phil's going to kill me." he laughed as they began walking.

"We could be doing worse." Ranboo commented, shoving his hands in his pockets. "Besides, he'll only get mad if you get sick."

"Yeah, Phil despises when you get sick." Tubbo added, skipping a little ahead before falling in step with the others. "You get super clingy."

Embarrassment flooded into his cheeks at the boy's words. "I do not!" he exclaimed, annoyed Tubbo would even suggest that. Tommy was not clingy.

"Have you met yourself?" Ranboo raised an eyebrow, smirking at his glare. He put his hands up defensively, hoping to tiptoe back to Tommy's good side. "It's not a bad thing Toms."

"I am not clingy!" the blonde repeated, refusing to accept any other answer.

"I see Tommy's apartment!" Tubbo called, swiftly changing the subject. He charged forward at a faster speed, desperate for warmth. Hot chocolate was in their grasp, he could practically taste it. And the idea of being in a warm house cheered them up even more.

Ranboo and Tommy chased after him, only managing to catch him at the door. Tubbo only had to knock once before Phil ushered them inside. He quickly wrapped them in towels and blankets, worry sweating off him as he went. "What were you three doing outside for so long?!" he scowled, setting a pot on the stove for hot chocolate.

"Skipping in the rain!" Tubbo exclaimed, snuggling up on the couch. The other two joined him, awaiting their delicious drinks.

Phil shook his head, a slight smile on his face. He was obviously trying to hide his amusement with disappointment, not that it was really working. "You three are going to get sick if you're not careful."

Tommy yawned, paying no attention to Phil's warning. A wave of exhaustion washed over him, urging him to close his eyes.

The offer was too good to refuse.
