Y/N POV
Alright, dinner was ready and cooling off. Tonight was Seafood Gumbo, just the way Bailey likes it. My mom had just sent me a text saying they were about to enter the neighborhood. I am far more nervous about this than I thought I was. Let's go through the information I've made up so far. Ahri is older than me, studied Zoology, and is introverted. Going off appearance, Ahri would be considered Korean. We've known each other for just three days now which should be fine. I just need to keep them from overwhelming Ahri. Ugh, a lot easier said than done Y/N.
As I walk through the hallway and to the stairs, I stop and look in the mirror I had on a chest. I was still in my school uniform and my hair was a little rough. I needed to fix that really quickly. I go and dash on up the stairs and into my room where Ahri was.
Ahri: Everything alright?
Y/N: Just cleaning myself up. Don't worry. Are you doing alright up here?
Ahri: As best as I can.
Seems like she wasn't really psyching herself up for this. I don't blame her considering she may as well be an isolationist. And her general knowledge of humans is not in good light. Doing everything in my power to make sure that changes. After getting the clothes I needed, I step on into the bathroom and wash up as quickly as possible. By the time I was out, I could hear knocking on the door. As I almost slid down the stairs, I check myself one more time to make sure I look presentable. I don't want my Mama to think I'm not taking care of myself. I then open the door to have a little gremlin attach herself to me.
Bailey: Y/N!
Y/N: Hey there Bailey!
I gotta give my little sister the best hug I can give. Mama probably didn't like that cause she came up to my rear and gave me a bear hug.
Carolina: Don't forget me, sweetie!
Y/N: Ugh...! Mama...!
Harrison: Poor boy.
After not getting any help from Bailey or my Papa, Mama finally lets me go so I could breathe. Gonna have a broken bone before the end of this week.
Y/N: Welcome, welcome... oof...
Carolina: Sorry, I forget my own strength sometimes.
Y/N: Sonya says the same thing.
Carolina: Always a sweet thing despite the dull light bulb she has.
Not gonna disagree. The three of them all come into the living room with Bailey sniffing the air.
Bailey: Brother, is that Seafood Gumbo?!
Y/N: Yes, I made it just the way you like it.
Bailey: Yay!
I had to word that in a way that doesn't mention our real Mama. Papa actually gave me an approving nod. Our stepmom does not like her, despite never actually meeting her. To be honest, I never hope they do. I already know me and Bailey would be at the center of that and Bailey doesn't need to be dragged into that stuff. An innocent princess deserves everything but bad things. My Papa begins to look around curiously, looking for Ahri no doubt.
Harrison: So, we came to see the new roommate. Did she bail?
Y/N: She didn't. She's upstairs right now.
Carolina: Well then, let's go see her!
Y/N: Wait wait wait!
I had to get in front of her and make her sit back down.
