Ahri POV
Once I was done cleaning up, both myself and the hair I shedded off, I got back into my clothes and checked on Y/N who was nodding off in the bath. As to respect his privacy I only opened the door a little and didn't peek.
Ahri: Hey buddy, you gotta wake up.
Y/N: No...
Ahri: You have to. There is a nice warm bed out here that'll stay warm, unlike the water. You also need to eat which is another reason I came here. I'm gonna go out and get us some dinner real fast so you need to get ready to eat it.
Y/N: Food does sound good... But I'm so relaxed right now...
Good thing I possess the best person for this job, the Negotiator.
Ahri: Well sir, if thou remove thyself from the soon-to-be cold bath water, eat the food I deliverest to thou, I'll allowest you to sleep my mine tails as thy blanket and mine ears to be thy hand warmers.
His hum echoes off the walls before he starts splashing around a little.
Y/N: Fine... I'll finish up...
Ahri: Good. I'll be back soon.
Y/N: Please, stay safe.
Ahri: I try too.
Anything I want to discuss can come later or even tomorrow. I don't want to ruin his relaxation. The first place I checked for food was actually the hotel itself. While they didn't have anything, it never hurts to check. I then went outside and kinda wander the city. Yeah, being out here kinda goes against the plan of going out given that these people know me as the Fox Demon, food was important. I just hope they'll actually give the food. Sadly, there was no way pizza existed in Runeterra. Hot dogs, on the other hand, did exist. When I walked up to the food stand that was selling them, the owner turned blue in the face. I was going to ask for some hot dogs but I decided not to. The poor guy looked like he was going to have a heart attack.
I moved on and tried several other places but the result was either the same as his or they had to close up. Part of me wanted to think it was because it was late, but another part of me felt like it was a panic response to my presence. It may have been better to send Kai'sa out but she'd probably get a similar reaction. The sun had completely set at this point so only the city lights kept the place illuminated. Now I've been out for too long and honestly, I was pretty upset I couldn't get us some food. I haven't felt this shunned since before I met Y/N. Since I felt a little down and ashamed, I stopped and sat on a bench in a park not too far from the hotel.
Planting my face in my hands, I let out a sigh.
Ahri: There's no place like home they say...
My ears flick a little when I hear people nearby. When I looked at them, they were already looking at me. My gaze is what made them turn and walk away. In Noxus, I had to play the part of a slave and used soul devouring as a way to cope with my surroundings. Here though, I can't do that. Thinking about it made me upset but I was even angrier than that. A chance is all I wanted and some food.
???: Was this what you were after?
I look up and see a man holding a hotdog in a bun. My stomach grumbled at the sight of it but all alarms immediately went off when I looked up at the supposedly normal man.
Thresh: Did you miss me?
By complete instinct I flipped off the bench, putting it between me and the Warden. He chuckles as the hand holding the hotdog was lowered, almost dropping it. How did he get here so fast?
