Arc IV - Chapter 33

Third Person POV

Y/N audible gulped as he looked at the special assignment in front of him. He knew the others were in trouble. Since Kai'sa technically uses a form of magic, that means Demacia would have a problem with her now. It made little sense as to why they skipped her before since she was associated with Y/N but it doesn't matter now. Kai'sa and the two Yordles came diving out of another portal and into the forest near the northern gate. As she drops the Yordles down, Kai'sa spits on the ground and shakes her head. Once again, she was nauseous.

Poppy: Please tell me you guys got something good.

Kai'sa/Teemo: We did.

The two look at each other briefly and were ready to share but Kai'sa turns her attention to the hawk that nearly got close enough to gouge her eyes. She dodges it though and aims at a nearby opening in the trees. From the opening, the champion Quinn aims her crossbow.

Quinn: I had my suspicions about you and I was right.

Poppy: Quinn? What are you doing here?

Quinn: As a Ranger-Knight of Demacia it is my duty to scout and locate enemies of the kingdom. Even within our own city.

The two women point their respective weapons at one another. Kai'sa had to keep an ear out as Valor had not returned to Quinn's side. That's when the special assignment popped up in front of Y/N.

"Special Assignment Started!"

"Objective: Subdue Quinn and Valor."

Y/N: Oh no...!

Valor comes soaring from the trees above which made Kai'sa look away for half a second. Quinn fired a bolt immediately so Kai'sa had to dodge.

Poppy: Wait, don't fight!

Teemo: A little late for that!

Valor attempts to claw at Kai'sa again but the moment her helmet comes down, his attempt to blind her was rendered pointless. Quinn then uses her Vault ability to close the gap between the two women. Kai'sa was knocked up and given a vulnerable effect that allows Quinn's passive to trigger, granting her extra damage on her next auto attack. She uses this to her advantage and scores a clean hit on Kai'sa collar bone. Needing time to recover she turns invisible and dashes away.

Quinn: Eyes in the sky.

She activates her other ability Heightened Senses which makes Valor reveal the surrounding area, including the bush Kai'sa was currently hiding in. Quinn fires into it but all her bolts meet mushrooms that explode into poison clouds. Quinn eyes Teemo with a look of disappointment.

Quinn: You'd defend her?

Teemo: Unlike you guys who blindly follow orders, I make my own decisions.

Valor immediately flies down and grabs Teemo, carrying him into the air. Most of what Teemo did at first was scream and flail but after that, he just started whacking Valor in the face with his blowgun. Valor gets back at him by pecking him in one of his closed eyes.

Teemo: OWSONOFAMOTHERFUCKING-

He proceeded to go on cursing for like a minute straight which made Poppy cover her mouth in shock. Quinn squints her eyes at him, weirded out by his behavior before turning around and getting hit in the chest with one of Kai'sa's autos. She rolls across the ground and fires back but Kai'sa catches the bolt this time.

Kai'sa: You caught me when I was exhausted and nauseated. Thanks to Teemo and his... nature... I'm back to full strength now.

Quinn: And?
