Y/N POV
While eating lunch at school, I continued to dwell on the conversation I had with Aurelion Sol last night.
Y/N: You showed up later than usual.
Aurelion Sol: Figured that I'd give you time to settle in this go around. You discovered a lot during your run this time.
He wasn't kidding. I was still trying to process Ahri's feelings for me and I was getting nowhere. What also plagued my mind was the two things that happened during the war. The strange upgrade to my Orb of Deception and Kai'sa's mana overloading like it did.
Marco: So he said that because you and Ahri are strongly connected you could use a stronger variation of her abilities?
Dustin: Sounds sweet if not a little overpowered.
Y/N: The drawback is that it has a longer cooldown and would use Ahri's mana if I didn't have any.
At least I had an ability that was max rank instead of rank one. I could actually do damage now.
Sonya: Still though, I don't like how that mark works.
Aurelion Sol: What happened to Kai'sa was of your doing though it was not intentional. Due to your great stress in that moment, it caused the bulk of the bindings power to transfer to Kai'sa, empowering her for just a moment.
Sonya: You shouldn't have to go through moments like that. Stress isn't good for you and you've been going through a lot.
The conversation in my memory and the one in front of me just blurred together to the point it just felt out of place. Two different worlds but with the same subject. I'm glad I'm taking a break from League for a while. Grounding myself should be the overall objective cause otherwise I'll end up conflicted over something stupid.
Dustin: You gotta admit girl, a powerup in a pinch is helpful. I would've loved to see the action go down. Kai'sa radiates alpha female energy so she no doubt fights like a badass.
Y/N: She alone changed the tide of a war and fought multiple champions by herself. Some of which she'd be screwed to face by herself in the game.
Dustin: But due to the power of logic and friendship, she overcame such odds.
Sonya: I am grateful that she at least cares now. You sure know how to win people over.
I look away and scratch the back of my head in embarrassment.
Y/N: It wasn't all me. Ahri had a hand in it too. Heck, she probably did more than I did.
Dustin: How... anime...
I hate that my life has turned into one. At least it's interesting. Marco then cleared his throat as he decided to turn the conversation in another direction.
Marco: You plan to head to your stepmother's house or go straight to the office?
Y/N: I'm going to assume she'll be at the office. As much as I want to see Papa and Bailey, my Mama is a bit more important in this matter.
Marco: Just make sure you check in with Kai'sa first.
Dustin: She should still be back at the house, right? Rakan and Teemo's plan could be executed today if we're lucky.
Y/N: First off, I don't have to go far. Kai'sa, the last time I saw her was on the tree next to the front gate.
Sonya's mouth twists to the side, showing her disdain for the stalking. At least this time Kai'sa isn't watching me like a hawk. Ain't really worried about her getting caught either since Kai'sa is far more aware than others. Not to mention, being able to turn invisible at the drop of a hat and then move away is way more helpful than just popping in and out of view and then being forced to stand still. That actually brought a unique thought into my head.
