Episode 170: Love, Pokemon Style

Arriving at the Silver Conference stadium, Mew is reunited with Gary, her childhood friend and rival. Like Mew, Gary is determined to win the Silver Conference. Mew has a fierce battle, as Mew, Pikachu, and Eevee successfully battle their way through the screening process and into the semifinals. And now that the competition fire has been ignited with the sacred flame of Ho-Oh, the curtain finally rises on the long series of battles that will make up the Silver Conference of the Johto League.

The next day, at the Pokemon Center, Mew and the others are figuring out who they'll be battling against.

"This chart shows who will face off in the semi-finals," Brock says.

"That's a lot of groups," Molly says.

"Hey guys," Marina's voice calls out.

Mew and the others turn to see Jimmy, Marina, and Vincent approaching. Gary, and Harrison are there as well.

"Hi everyone," Misty says.

"I'm guessing you're here to see who you're battling against," Mew says.

"That's right," Vincetn says.

"We all just got here," Gary says.

Mew then says, "Well, let's look to see where we're at."

Then Misty says, "There you are, Mew. You'll battle in division H."

Mew looks to find the pictures of herself and her opponents she'll be facing next. But to Mew's shock, there is a familiar face next to hers.

"Hey, I'm at division H as well," Vincent says.

"Wow. Looks like we'll be battling each other in this division," Mew says.

"Yeah. Can't wait to see what you can do, but I won't back down just because we're friends," Vincetn says.

Mew grins, "I don't expect you too, and I won't go easy on you either."

"And our other opponent is this girl," Vincent says.

"It seems so," Macy says.

Brock reads, "The semi-finals will be a round robin tournament between all three trainers. A win is 3 points, a loss is 0 points, and a draw is 1 point for each. Whoever ends up with the most points moves on to the victory tournament."

"A win is 3, a loss is 0, and a draw is 1," Mew says. "This is going to be tough."

"You're right," Vincent says, "But I won't back down that easily."

"Me neither," Mew says.

"It says that I'll be in the L division," Jimmy says.

"And I'll be in the C division," Gary says.

"And I'm in the I division," Harrison says.

"Looks like we're in for one battle," Mew says.

Later, Mew, Misty, Brock, Tomo, Jen, and Molly are walking back to where they're staying...

But then someone approaches them, "Hold it right there!"

Everyone looks up ahead and sees a young girl with a Vulpix standing before them.

"I know you! Your name's Mew, right?!" The young girl asks.

"That's right," Mew says, "I'm guessing you're one of my opponents. Um, Macy right?" Mew asks.

"That's right, I'm Macy! I'm your opponent!" The girl, Macy says.

"Nice to meet you," Mew says.

Then Macy says, "Well, Mew, I suggest that you wake up and get with the program, because the battling begins the minute the opponents are chosen."
