“Woohoo!!!” You cheer as you fly through the city.
“Y/n, please!!” Tokoyami sounds like he's going to vomit. “Just... Fly straight!”
“Sorry Tokoyami!” You laugh. “This is just so much fun!”
“Tsukuyomi, you gotta get used to flying if you want to learn.” Hawks does a barrel roll in the air as he flies above the two of you, hanging upside down for a moment.
“But I won't fly like this...!” Tokoyami's fingers are practically bruising your arms with how tight he's gripping you.
“Haha, don't worry Tsukuyomi, once you get used to flying crazy like this with Hydra, you won't even bat an eye when you're doing it on your own!” Hawks laughs.
“My flying isn't that bad...!” You laugh. As you do, you fly through a pocket of hot air, and your board jerks as it's pushed upward. Behind you, Tokoyami gags and tightens his grip on you. “Woah! Whoops! Sorry Tokoyami!”
“H-Hawks... Please let me fly with you instead of her...!” Tokoyami groans.
“C’mon, Tokoyami! You can handle a few bumps—” You stop talking as a shift in the temperature and weather causes you to look around. Hawks notices it, too, and you both search for a source. The wind has picked up, and there’s a chill in the air that wasn’t there a moment before. It feels almost artificial.
“That’s weird... Hydra, are you sensing the water in the air revolving around a certain point?” Hawks asks. He can feel the wind shifting.
With a nod, you look ahead to a large public park. The source seems to be somewhere in it. “Down there.” You point.
“Is it someone’s quirk?” Tokoyami asks.
“Seems that way. Let’s check it out.” Hawks says, shooting forward. You’re quick to follow, and as Hawks’ shadow flits over the park, the temperature drops further, and the wind becomes violent, pushing all of you back.
“Woah!! Hawks!!!” You yelp as you lose control of your balance. Hawks has to catch you and Tokoyami, and he looks frustrated as he tries to stay in place.
“Damn it, it’s definitely someone’s quirk. Looks like they spotted me. It’s going to be tough flying in these strong winds while holding on to both of you.” As Hawks talks, the clouds above become more intense, and you can feel the humidity growing immensely.
“Uh oh...! We’re about to get hit with a lot of rain!” You say, looking up. Thunder rumbles, and the sky grows dark.
“Let’s get down to the ground before any lightning starts. We have to figure out what they’re trying to do.” Hawks says. Still holding on to the two of you, he lands on the roof of a lower building. The wind is even stronger now, and it roars past your ears.
“Here comes the rain!” You say. Sure enough, the rain begins to come down in buckets, and you quickly ensure your new helmet is fully covering your head. Holding your hands above you, you collect the water in the air before it can reach the three of you.
“Do you think this is a distraction?” Tokoyami asks.
“There’s a pretty high chance of it.” Hawks frowns.
“Let us take care of this guy then, Hawks!” You say. “With how much rain there is, and how dark it is, Tokoyami–sorry–Tsukuyomi and I–can handle it! You can go try to find out what it might be a distraction for!”
“You two sure you can handle it?” Hawks asks.
“We’ll be fine.” Tokoyami nods.
“We’ll watch each other’s backs! They’re going to regret making the weather even more perfect for Tsukuyomi and I!”
