Once again I found myself trudging through the snow to catch up to Capitano.

If I didn't ask to take a break once in awhile he would completely forget. It was as if the man was running on energy all the time. Nothing could stop him from moving forward.

Which seemed great, but after a few hours of walking my legs would eventually get numb.

Thankfully we had just taken a break a bit ago and I was ready to go once more.

Though this time Capitano spoke up, "There is a chance we will have to fight the abyss in the worst case scenario. How much combat experience do you have?"

I felt my heart drop a bit.

I had basically no experience...

Back in my world it wasn't as if I were fighting on the daily. Nevermind fighting I didn't even have any sort of powers to fight back. Aside from my hands if I really had to.

"Uh there was a girl back in school who I threw hands with. Then I threw a few rocks at Dottore and tried to fight some of the others Harbingers. I fought you too and well.. you saw how that ended..."

Capitano stifled a laugh.

My face burned bright and I quickened my pace.

"Don't laugh! Its not like I was trained to be a warrior alright!"

"You fought a kid in school?" He questioned.

"That wasn't my fault either," I argued, "She pulled my hair and I knocked her teeth out. It was fair."

He laughed some more and I shook my head.

"You have an interesting justification of fair." He commented.

I stopped in my tracks and turned around.

Capitano looked at me curiously as I marched right up to him.

"If I did this," I grabbed onto a piece of his hair and yanked it slightly, "Would you enjoy it?"

Capitano did not move.

Not a word came out of his mouth as he stared at me.

Only after a few seconds did I realize what I had just done.

My heart sped up a bit in my chest and a funny feeling in my stomach started.

"Wow." Capitano mumbled.

"Wow?" I said cautiously.

He nodded.

"This is a first, I have never had someone pull my hair before. Unfortunately I don't believe it will make for a very good strategy."

"Oh! Well then let me try again!"

I reached my hand out to once again grab his hair but this time Capitano caught my hand.

The two of us stared at one another for a moment. Neither backing down.

My heart stopped in my chest and I laughed nervously.

"Okay got it not really into the hair pulling." I said with a cheeky grin.

Capitano did not respond as he released my hand.

Instead he changed the subject, "As I was going to say before... You lack experience and there is a chance we may have to fight them. I can and will do my best to protect you, but you still need to be able to hold your own."

I nodded in agreement, "Yes I understand. I believe you when you say you will, but anything could happen. Personally, I think I've got pretty good control of my powers."

"You are learning," He replied, "But there is still more you can learn. Not just with your powers but your body. You need to know how to defend yourself if your powers are not an option, but we'll start small."

"Wait wait start what?" I asked a little confused.

"Training."

"Oh." They were the only words I could use.

"You haven't really had a chance to properly test them out so while we're travelling it may be a good time. The sun will be setting in the next few hours and we are getting closer to the agents location. We can take a break to prepare a bit."

"But won't we be a little loud? That may draw a lot of attention..."

Capitano nodded, "Yes. So lets find a spot to sent up camp and I'll do a sweep of the area to ensure there are no nearby onlookers. If anyone does happen to stumble upon our training session... I will take care of it."

I shivered at his words, but nodded my head anyway.

I couldn't imagine what Capitano would do to whoever found their way to us. Hopefully no one would be stupid enough to do that.

The two of us continued on a bit longer before Capitano found a decent spot.

There was another cave nearby for us to stay the night and even a bit of an open field.

I stayed in the cave as he went to go look around. After about 10 minutes or so Capitano returned.

"The area is clear. If you hear any movement that is not my own make sure you disappear. Use that little trick of yours."

"Alright I will." I replied.

"Good. Come with me."

I followed Capitano out from the cave and the two of us went to the small clearing in the forest.

"So how are we going to do this?" I asked.

I stopped in one place and Capitano backed up to create a bit of distance.

"Well for starters I'd like for you to attack me head on. I will not attack back only defend. Try to land a hit. Whether that be elemental or physical it doesn't matter."

"Alright." I took in a breath before moving forward.

I dashed toward him going as quick as I could.

Fire began to form in the palm of my hand as I looked at him dead on.

"Get ready, Captain."
