The two of us had chatted throughout the night. I told Capitano some more about my world while he filled me in on pieces of this world. He couldn't seem to get over the fact that in my world this was nothing but a game.

It really was a surreal experience.

I found myself once again in his arms as I awoke in the morning. I spent a bit of time gazing up at him. The more time we had together the more I found myself becoming infatuated with him. I was happy the Tsaritsa had stuck me with him. I felt like I was really starting to get to know him yet I still felt like there was more to him then that. Specifically... I couldn't contain my curiosity when it came to his mask.

What secrets was he hiding under there?

As much as I wanted to know I refused to invade his privacy and ruin the peace we had between us.

With that in mind I shifted my way out of his arms and sat up.

I peeked outside of the cave to see the sun was only beginning to rise.

Wow... I guess I was getting used to waking up early.

It was a beautiful sight. I couldn't get over how nice the sun sets and rises could be in Snezhnaya. My favorite part was watching the pink in the sky in morning and the different colored lights in the sky at night.

I could hear some moving coming from behind me and I looked back to see Capitano getting up as well.

He looked over at me curiously.

"The suns rising," I commented.

He shook his head and got up off the ground.

"Then lets get going. We have a long day ahead of us."

I nodded in agreement and the two of us got ready to head out.

Today we tried to move as quickly as we could. We had no idea how far ahead the abyss was so Capitano had decided we needed to hurry. A lot of the day was spent chasing after the left behind traces. It made me realize that I really needed to do some more running. His stamina was incredible. He barely took any breaks and if he did they were never long. I on the other hand was pushing myself to the limit.

I ran right behind Capitano. Trees and brush disappeared just as fast as they came. The forest was like a maze the two of us taking twists and turns to keep on the trail.

We had been following the two traces until I abruptly stopped in my tracks.

Capitano realized and quickly did the same looking back to figure out was wrong.

"Are you alright?" He asked.

I nodded inhaling deeply as I looked at the nearby tree.

So it hadn't been my imagination after all...

I pointed toward the tree, "Look theres another trace. Theres a light blue very faint."

As we had been zooming by I was more focused on the trees beside me. In that moment we passed it I had noticed the smallest amount of blue.

Capitano came closer and inspected it for himself.

"It appears there is. There may have been more of them than we initially thought."

I looked past the tree and noticed that all three traces had stopped in one area for a bit before splitting off.

Capitano noticed just as I did.

Clearly they must have been allies otherwise there would be some sign of battle. That and they wouldn't have stopped together.

I got some sort of weird gut feeling seeing it. Although it didn't look like much my intuition was telling me something wasnt right. I couldn't explain why but something had changed.

Capitano took the chance to look over the new marks before looking back at me.

"Something isn't right." I spoke out regarding my doubts.

"No, it's not. The traces of electro and pyro disperse in more than one direction. The traces continue forward where we were yet go in another direction here. Someone is trying to throw us off."

"Are we certain the people here were from the abyss?" I asked.

He nodded, "There is abyssal energy in the traces as well. Theres no question about it."

"Then they must have met up with another group..." I mumbled out loud.

"Indeed. Which means we now need to pick a path and follow it." Capitano agreed.

The two of us looked at each other for a moment.

"Pick Y/N."

My heart skipped a beat and I looked up at him surprised, "Are you sure...?"

He nodded his head.

I glanced over at our options. Either could have been them trying to lead us off the trail but something about that blue trace was calling out to me.

"Lets go after the blue. It's not sitting right with me."

Without a second thought Capitano began to head that way.

"You don't want to know why I chose it?" I asked catching up to him.

Capitano shook his head, "I trust your judgement."

My heart sped up and my cheeks flushed. I smiled as I reached his side. Hearing those words made me heart happy.

"Ready?" I asked.

"Ready." He replied.
