Capitano's POV »» ──────ஓ๑♥๑ஓ ────── ««
That crazy... crazy woman.
I took in a deep breath before locking eyes with the herald blocking my path.
The moment Y/N had jumped the herald made sure to block the view from my sight. She completely vanished disappearing off the cliff without a sound. I could not hear anything even as I waited to see what would happen next.
A sigh left my lips.
She would most likely be alright she certainly wouldn't jump without some sort of plan. At least I hoped that was the case... but now that I thought about it a little more I wasn't sure. She was chaotic and full of all sorts of surprises. It wouldn't be unusual for her to do something without thinking it through first.
But now that she was gone...
I raised my sword up. Ice began to surround it in a vicious whirl.
The herald who had been smiling before was no longer doing so.
There was no reason to hold back now that Y/N and the box were out of the vicinity.
I moved even swifter than I had before. The herald could only blink before I was in front of him. The speed had come as a surprise. He hadn't realized how much power and strength I had been holding back. In one quick motion, I sent the sword straight toward his neck
The chilling cold radiated off of the blade and when it hit his neck the cold exploded around us. Ice formed everywhere and a wave of it flashed outward.
It covered the ground and trees as if a storm of ice had just passed through. The icicles shun in the light hiding how truly dangerous they were.
The heralds eyes grew in response but in that moment he knew there was nothing he could do. His fate had been sealed the moment our blades met. He had underestimated my strength and that would now be his downfall.
The sword sliced right through his neck.
I used every bit of strength in that hit, ensuring there was no chance I'd miss.
Blood splattered everywhere.
I could feel some of it dripping down my clothes as I pushed the rest of the sword through his throat.
It didn't take much for the sword to come out the other side. The heralds body dropped to the ground and his head rolled right off.
I brought my sword down shaking the blood off of it and then wiping some from my own clothes. All I ended up doing was transferring some of the blood to my hands.
A pool of blood lay at my feet and the head fell to the side. His blank eyes stared right up at me. There was no sign of life left. He should have teleported away when he had the chance.
I walked over the ice. More ice seemed to form around me as I went. I stopped just before his body looking down at the pathetic display.
I couldn't quite describe the emotions coursing through my blood. There was a lot of rage currently directed at that herald. If he hadn't thrown that box...
I let that thought drift away.
It had been a long time since I felt such strong anger toward a creature.
Y/N had made more of an impression on me than I initially thought. After those words left my lips earlier I knew I wouldn't be able to go back. The thoughts and feelings were all real. She was full of life and energy, but also a kind soul. I found myself enjoying her company. It was too bad all of these feeling had come out only after she had fallen.
I took in another breath before stepping over the heralds body and glancing down the cliff.
The cliff was open and filled with many different ledges and caves. It was a long way down. From my current view I couldn't see Y/N but it was possible she was already much further down.
A tinge of worry filled my heart.
She was a smart lady she wouldn't let herself die, but there was no guarantee she'd escape from that unscathed. It was a reckless and dangerous move but that was the way she was.
She was brave and I couldn't deny that it was an attractive feature.
However, these thoughts could wait. Right now I needed to make it my priority to find her as soon as possible. It didn't matter anymore if she had the box, I needed to know if she was alright. If she wasn't...
The rage bubbled up once more and the ice by my feet intensified around me.
The herald was already dead. That should be enough. For now.
With that in mind I decided to not waste anymore time.
