The walk with the agents was a long one.
We had gone on for a few hours before taking a quick break for everyone to recover.
It seemed it was going to take us through the night to reach the last location. Though it made sense considering they had to meet us half way.
"So, how do you plan to find the abyss once we've reached the location?" I asked taking a sip of some water.
I was genuinely curious because we would find the location but surely they'd already be gone. For all we knew we were days behind catching up.
"Elemental traces," Capitano answered, "They will have left something behind. We'll just have to follow it."
My eyes lit up a bit.
Wait a moment...
I could control all the elements so didn't that also mean I could see elemental power as well...?
"How? How do you see it?" I asked shuffling a little closer to him.
Capitano looked around a bit before pointing toward a tree.
"Focus on that spot there."
I looked to where he was pointing and focused intensely on the spot.
Come on world... work your magic...
"There is a small trace left behind from myself earlier. Focus on using your elemental powers to see that trace." He commented.
My eyes stayed focused on the tree. Like I had done previously with the fire in my palms I tried to focus on concentrating the elemental power in my eyes.
I had no idea what I was doing but after a few minutes of staring down the tree I began to see something.
I flew up from my spot and moved closer to the inspect the tree. There was a light blue trace glowing on the base.
It was faint but still visible.
I could hear footsteps walking up behind me.
"You see it?" Capitano asked.
I nodded my head feverishly.
"Yes," I replied, "I see it. Its really small but I can see it."
Capitano gave me a light pat on the back, "Well done. It seems we won't have trouble searching for the abyss."
