We had finally reached the capital of Snezhnaya.
The time spent returning had disappeared before my very eyes. It was a shame because I had been enjoying each day with Capitano. The more time I spent around him the more I realized what kind of a man he was and the more attracted I became. It definitely was helping that Capitano openly showed his affection as well.
I could see the Tsaritsa's palace from here. The guards stood directly by the front entrance and I couldn't help but feel a tad nervous.
She would be pleased that the mission had been completed so really there was no reason to be anxious. But this was my first mission from her as well. I had no idea what her expectations were.
As I gazed up at the castle I felt Capitanos hand told mine tighter.
My attention focused on him.
"Worry not. I'm by your side."
His words had a calming effect. With a nod the two of us headed toward the entrance.
Upon seeing us the guards immediately opened the doors. They nodded in greetings to Capitano and you could tell they had nothing but respect for the man.
I followed by his side and toward the entrance. The doors were opened for us once more and we walked through the cold palace.
I could see the doors to the throne room up ahead.
My heart rate sped up a bit and I squeezed Capitano's hand a little more.
From where I was I could already hear chatter coming from within. There must have been others with the Tsaritsa. My guess was some of the other harbingers had gotten word and decided to gather.
Capitano pushed the throne doors open with one hand holding it for me to go in. I went in with him following after me.
When we stepped into the room heads began to turn. The Tsaritsa was off her throne and with Pierro who seemed to be showing her something from a book. Pantalone sat on one of the lower thrones looking through a box of jewels. While Childe sat at a table fooling around with his weapons.
At first the room grew quiet and they focused on who had arrived. But then eyes began to lower as we strolled in.
Capitano was still holding my hand as the two of us walked side by side.
Everyone but Childe seemed to notice as he was already jumping out of his spot in excitement at Capitano's presence.
"Captain!" Childe quickly approaching the two of us.
