This was really hard to think of and write, and it's later in the day (I had work today) so I kind of rushed, but I hope it's okay.

Deceit sighed and looked in the mirror. He was so glad he had his cape-type thing, it helped considerably when it came to hiding who he really was. He knew he had to tell them someday, but when he thought it through, he ended up convincing himself it wasn't worth it.

A knock at the door pulled him from his thoughts.

"De, Kiddo? Are you going to come and eat?" Patton's voice filtered through, and Deceit found himself smiling.

"No. I won't be there in a minute." Deceit spoke, opening the door, and smiling at the fatherly trait, who nodded and went skipping down the hall.

He knew he was loved, and he may not tell them that he wasn't biologically male today, but one day, he would work up the courage to talk to them, and when that day came, he hoped they wouldn't treat him any differently.
