Sasha's POV
Being a mom is hard. I'm having a hard time. Between Drew, the kids, and school, I'm feeling really stretched thin all of the time. Today I don't have any classes, so I'm dividing my time between Drew, and homework. When Mason isn't around, the kids want nothing to do with me.
Right now Mason is at the store. There's several things we're needing, so he is doing that, and then he's heading to Liam's for a bit to help him install some surround sound speakers.
I'm on the couch in our apartment, nursing Drew. I'm going to have to switch to formula soon. Pumping and nursing while doing everything else is becoming more than I can handle.
I love nursing him, though. It's something only he and I can do. It's something only I can give him. He's my whole heart.
Dylan comes in and plops down on the couch, switching the channel.
"Dylan, give me the remote. I was watching that"
"Not anymore" he scoffs, getting himself comfy.
"I mean it. This is the first time I've sat down to watch TV for three days. Give me back the remote"
"Make me, princess" he says, rolling his eyes.
I'm getting so sick of this. I wish Mason never would have taken the kids. I had no idea it would be so hard.
I finish nursing Drew, and then I put him in his swing. I go up to Dylan and rip the remote out of his hand.
"Give it back" he says, standing up and towering over me.
"Go to your room, Dylan" I say, trying to act more brave than I feel.
"You're joking, right? Wanna try and make me?" He asks, getting in my face.
I know I don't have a chance of making him. I'm not strong like my mom. I'm not tough like my mom. I have absolutely no chance. I sigh as I go downstairs.
Dad, Wes, Luke, and Trace are playing on the Nintendo Switch when I get downstairs.
"Hey darling!" Dad says, smirking at me.
As soon as he sees my expression, he stands up and comes over to me.
"What's wrong, Sasha Girl?"
I start sobbing and I put my head on his chest. Dad silently holds me, waiting for me to speak. I finally get out the whole story, and dad sighs darkly.
He grabs my hand gently and pulls me up the stairs
When we get into the apartment, Drew is sleeping in his swing, and Dylan and Josie are watching TV on the couch.
Dad comes up and shuts the TV off. Dylan doesn't say a single word. He isn't so tough, now.
Dad is completely silent as he stares down Dylan. Finally dad speaks.
"Did Sasha tell you to go to your room?"
Dylan just nods slightly.
"Why didn't you listen?"
Dylan says nothing, he just looks at his lap and shrugs.
Dad sighs again.
"Why don't you come downstairs with me until Mason gets home" dad says, trying to keep his voice stern but not scary. He knows how scared the kids are of him.
Dylan says nothing as he stands up and follows dad downstairs.
Josie just sits there for a moment, terrified. Finally she speaks. "He won't hurt him, right?" She asks softly.
